Air Quality - How Important Should It Be!

Say hello to the Dust Mite...currently, there maybe 100,000 dust mites in every 3-inch square of your home's carpeting. No carpeting...40,000 per 1 ounce of dust and the average home collects about 40 lbs. of dust each year.
These microscopic arthropods can live anywhere from 30-90 days and survive by feeding off of our shedding dead skin cells. On average, we shed 40,000 dead skin cells per second which can feed up to one million dust mites at a time. We can shed as much as 9 Lbs. of dead skin cells in a single year and the worst part is that one single dust mite will produce 20 fecal droppings or allergens per day.
Are you doing the math? That is 730 million per year!
This is only one potential allergen that we deal with when we are indoors. Up to 90% off our time is spent indoors whether it is at work, in different stores or the comfort of our own home. Its time to start controlling our air quality and start breathing cleaner air. We need a solution for better air quality that will remove allergens, particulates, infectious agents and toxic compounds. With the right strategy, we can greatly reduce heath effects such as runny nose, sneezing, congestion, asthma flares, throat and ear infections, bronchitis, headaches and lethargy.
Reach out to a local heating and cooling provider in your area that you can trust to consult with you on affordable products for your home. Have them present solutions such as whole house HEPA systems, energy recovery ventilators, UV lights and humidity controls. Remember, home comfort is not only heating, cooling and hot water...it is the quality of air that we breath as well.
