Air Marketing go platinum with Sales Confidence
As Air Marketing upgrade their partnership with Sales Confidence to platinum level, let’s check in with Owen Richards and his team and find out what they’re up to.
You know how much I enjoy telling the world about the new partnerships we make with world-class SaaS and SaaS-adjacent organisations. But while it’s great to announce new alliances, it’s excellent when existing partners decide to stick around – and even better when they upgrade their partnership level.
Air Marketing
If you’ve been to any Sales Confidence events recently, you’ll know Owen Richards , Founder of Air Marketing . We share a lot of presenting duties at events, so much so that we’ve been called the Ant and Dec of the SaaS sales industry!?
Owen has just confirmed that he’s signing up for another year of partnership with us, upgrading from gold to platinum-level partnership. This is brilliant news and confirmation that partnering with Sales Confidence can make the difference to your business.?
In this article, I want to tell you what Air Marketing have been up to this year and their plans for 2023. Finally, we’ll look at the amazing connection between Sales Confidence and Air Marketing and how the partnership works for us both. Let’s go.
Air Marketing in 2022
If you think Air Marketing are just about outsourced sales, think again. This year, Owen and his ever-growing team have worked on diversifying what they do to offer their clients an unrivalled service.
Air Marketing merged with its sister company – marketing agency Roots2Market – to link sales and marketing services. It also launched its SDR recruitment services, helping clients hire the right SDRs when they want to build out their teams. It’s all about offering clients the right service at the right time.
2022 also saw Air Marketing create more than 30 new jobs, taking the total headcount to 96. Owen also added to his leadership team with new heads of sales, client strategy and finance, as well as adding heads of sales services, recruitment services and marketing services. These roles were filled by a healthy blend of internal promotions and external, strategic hires and Air Marketing’s leadership team is proudly diverse. For example, Air is proud of the fact that their leadership team is now majority female.
Air Marketing’s revenue grew by £1 million this year, driven by exceptional demand from the market and an ambitious intent to grow. The forecast for 2023 is to increase by another £1 million.
Plans for 2023
By growing the company and adding to the leadership team, Air Marketing is set up for scale in 2023. Owen has firm plans for the future and is operationally ahead, rather than thinking, ‘Shit, we’re there. Now, what do we do?!’

The big news for 2023 to announce is that Air Marketing will roll out its internal sales academy. It’s a formalised and accredited academy that will make ramp time faster, ensure quality and help attract better candidates to the business. However, Owen also wants to roll out the academy to clients and their SDRs.
As Air Marketing continues to grow (very soon, they’ll celebrate reaching 100 people), the philosophy is to help clients at every stage of their growth. Sure, there may be challenges in a difficult economy, but Air Marketing tends to do well in difficult markets because clients want to sell more. It’s all in line with the trademarked company mantra - Be brave. Sell more.
Shared philosophy
I’m thrilled that Air Marketing are upgrading their partnership with Sales Confidence, as it’s clear there is such a connection between our two companies.?
Like me, Owen has built a solid personal brand on LinkedIn. If you don’t follow him, you need to remedy that now. He also has a brilliant podcast series, On Air With Owen , so make sure you check that out too.
But above all, we share a mission to elevate the sales profession. For example, by creating a sales academy, Owen has shown that he doesn’t just want to hire salespeople; he wants to make them the best they can be. The way we celebrate sales nudges people that may not have considered it as a possible profession to give it deeper thought. It also helps employers understand the value of their salespeople’s skills.
For Owen, renewing Air Marketing’s partnership with Sales Confidence wasn’t a question of whether; it was only about how. So far, the partnership has overdelivered on creating brand awareness with Air Marketing’s target audience, as well as directly driving revenue and growth.?
Here’s to another year of success!
