Air France KLM BNP Paribas 2024 Olympics

Air France: This analysis comprises chiefly the integration of Air France and BNP paribas as global companies and the resulting emerging technologies as well as the technologies that have already established themselves not only in France, but also Globally. Since 1933 Air France has been operating in France thanks to its thirty six locations in France and was previously situated at Montparnasse Paris before moving to its Charles De Gaulle airport(CDG). The premier merger that is of importance is that with KLM and 51.4 million people that have been passengers since its operations and integrations with Airbus and Boeing.Since moving from the A320 to the A380 they’ve mostly been working and using regional aircrafts.

Acquisitions:On 12 January 1990, the operations of government-owned Air France, semi-public Air Inter and wholly private Union de Transports Aériens (UTA) were merged into an enlarged Air France.[12] Air France's acquisition of UTA and Air Inter was part of an early 1990s government plan to create a unified, national air carrier with the economies of scale and global reach to counter potential threats from the liberalization of the EU's internal air transport market.[27]

On 25 July 1994, a new holding company, Groupe Air France, was set up by decree. Groupe Air France became operational on 1 September 1994. It acquired the Air France group's majority shareholdings in Air France and Air Inter (subsequently renamed Air Inter Europe). On 31 August 1994, Stephen Wolf , a former United Airlines CEO, was appointed adviser to the Air France group's chairman Christian Blanc . Wolf was credited with the introduction of Air France's hub and spoke operation at Paris Charles de Gaulle. (Wolf resigned in 1996 to take over as CEO at US Airways .)[28] [29]

In 1997, Air France Europe was absorbed into Air France. On 19 February 1999, French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin 's Plural Left government approved Air France's partial privatization . Its shares were listed on the Paris stock exchange on 22 February 1999. In June 1999, Air France and Delta Air Lines formed a bilateral transatlantic partnership . On 22 June 2000, this expanded into the SkyTeam global airline alliance

?

The main point to get from this is that a national carrier is being used through Air France while the acquisition that was needed was made was through a former United Airlines CEO so the transference of power and legitimacy through the deals and mergers taking place carried a unique identity of being a national flag carrier while having outside advice from Stephen Wolf. This practice subsequently led to more spinoffs in which it became partially private and finally could become an alliance to form a global airline.

BNP Paribas:BNP, another national bank of Paris operates in commercialization privatization investments and corporate banking. And houses 150,000 employees. One of the main things that is pertinent to this discussion is the nationalization of both the bank and the airline as an entity and wondering whether the liberalization of these entities into globally formed businesses has set them up to become more global players on the international market, the symbiosis of the two working in concert with one another poses questions about business and state. Under the second Chirac government the bank was reconstructed to primarily reinvest capital to the state. An interesting way of addressing this is a causal risk factor: France as a state holds a position on the G20 and through the European Union has also been accepted into the nations that use the euro as their main currency.??

Conclusion: Creating a bank as many other countries have done mainly in egypt and south africa to bolster their economies plays out differently in France due to the european union. Air France and BNP Paribas are examples of economic nationalism while having great results and potential by being stationed in other countries. The tactical awareness of placing a bank and airline for the state as a flag carrier and bank as a reconstituted step towards more funds being poured into the national economy is a defense against the surveillance of a multinational corporation and the use of currency such as the euro. Globalization has led to these imperatives but as the world moves so do the necessary pieces of fortifying one's state and also having transactional awareness of dividends placed on the Frances nation.?

One counterfactual to this is the 2024 olympics which even with estimates of tourism the city of lights and and love artistic works that are housed from all over the world seems to be a gigantic and momentous step forward not only for the french state but also for the rest of the world. It's anybody’s guess what will happen in the next two years both here in the United States and with one of our closest allies France but we’re surely not going to want to miss it.?
