First, Leakage: There will be gaps between the rotors and between the rotor and the housing during operation and not direct contact, so gas leakage will occur. When the pressure-increased gas leaks through the gap to the suction duct and the suction slot that is inhaling, it will cause a decrease in the exhaust gas volume. Therefore, the leakage amount should be minimized. Sealing teeth are made on the tooth top of the driven rotor, sealing grooves are formed on the root of the driving rotor, and ring-shaped or strip-shaped sealing teeth are processed on the end face. However, if the seal line is worn, the leakage will increase and the exhaust volume will decrease.

Second, the suction state: screw compressor is a volumetric compressor, the suction volume does not change. When the suction temperature rises, or the resistance of the suction line is too large and the suction pressure is reduced, the density of the gas is reduced, and the gas discharge volume is correspondingly reduced.

Third, the cooling effect: When the gas is compressed, the temperature will rise, and the temperature of the rotor and the casing will also increase. During the suction process, the gas will be heated by the rotor and the casing to expand, reducing the suction volume. The rotor of an air compressor is sometimes cooled by oil, and the casing is cooled by water. The main reason is to reduce the temperature. If the cooling performance is poor, the temperature will rise and the exhaust volume will decrease.

Fourth, the speed: the displacement of the screw compressor is proportional to the speed. The speed will change with the voltage and frequency of the grid. When the voltage is lowered (for asynchronous motors) or the frequency is lowered, the speed will decrease and the air volume will decrease.
