The start of the new Air Canada Rouge service, which will be carried out by a Boeing 767-300, was marked with a celebration at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon.
Direct connections from Lisbon to Montreal will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday, while flights from Montreal to the Portuguese capital will be on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, the company said in a statement.
This new service will help meet the strong demand of leisure travelers and visit family and friends and facilitate the interests of Portuguese and Canadian businesses, creating greater connectivity to the opportunities that are emerging on both continents.
Air Canada's leisure company, Air Canada Rouge, is now serving two airports in Portugal, as it also began flying to Porto from Toronto on June 9, also until October, three days a week.
Porto to Toronto connections are on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, while flights to Sá Carneiro Airport take place on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.
