Is Air Ambulance expensive than your "Life"? I don't think so. Question is how to make it affordable so that more people can afford, more lives saved

Several people in India don't get medical attention within the "golden hour" which is very crucial in saving lives. “Air Ambulance” today can connect all Tier I, Tier II and others cities / medical facilities with an operational Airport nearby addressing the emergency medical needs of these people who are either on the outskirts or far from the city limits or far from such medical facilities.

The use of air medical transportation has risen over the past two decades only. Air medical transportation has evolved from balloons used during the First World War to the massive evacuation exercise undertaken by the Indian forces in Uttarakhand and Kashmir in recent times. Many more patients are transported daily in need of advanced medical attention to ultra modern medical facilities worldwide. These are inter-hospital transfers of critical patients using the available air infrastructure.

Most individuals with mild to moderate medical or surgical conditions are able to travel safely in a normal cabin seat with some assistance from the airline in the form of wheelchair and oxygen in case of emergency. Some patients need either a stretcher in a commercial scheduled flight or a smaller dedicated chartered flight with all medical equipment and medical staff experienced to handle the situation. This may include continuous oxygen supply, airway management, cardiac monitoring, and interventions. Many countries where large areas are served by a few tertiary care centers have very efficient air medical transportation services, e.g., Australia, South Africa. This facility is poorly developed in India.

Now coming to the question of whether it is more expensive preposition than your life. The answer is a "Big No". Yes looking into the country's per capita income and affordability of LIG / EWS it is certainly an unaffordable preposition. But the growing nuclear families, there is a clear surging demand and awareness of Air Ambulance in India. However there has to a much higher level of awareness that is required. There has to be more and more competition among the players in this space. There has to Government involvement for uplifting Air Infrastructure in Tier 2 cities, Tier 3 cities and outskirts and a new pricing and insurance policy to bring in affordability. Or this Air Ambulance facility with remain restricted to HIG and Ultra Rich Indians. I think when it comes to saving a life economic status just doesn't matter and everyone are equal.

Sad reality is Medical Emergencies are sudden and doesn't give you much time. What do we do to mitigate the risk during these kind of emergencies like neurological, breathing difficulties, accident, multiple fractures, heart disease, 50% burn cases, kids pulmonary disease, tuberculosis, stroke, other neonatal conditions, etc. For each and every medical emergencies there is so called "Golden Hour" for the patient. If he/she reaches the right Doctor, right hospital the chances for him to survive could be 99% higher.

First, we should secure ourselves and our family by making a provision of "Medical Emergency Fund". Second would be an insurance policy for the family members and most importantly you should be able to reach a good doctor and a good hospital otherwise the fund provision and insurance will be of no good. Because its the question of your life, you should reach out to the Country's best Doctor and the best Hospital.

We at Book Air Ambulance decided to make it affordable. However this is not easy. We have introduced "Membership Plan" such as "Ayu Gold for an individual", "Vansh Gold for a family member of 4", and "Vansh Platinum for a family member of 6 (including Parents). Besides this, we have attached multiple other benefits for our members while purchasing their daily requirements from our Partners and Associates, who fall into the bracket of India's Top Brands. That way, we will be making the membership free to our members. We practice a fair and transparent pricing policy. We provided upto 50% discount to our members who have opted for the Membership Plan, We fly our non-members at 100% fare.

Who should take our membership plan? All Individual or a Family, a Corporate to secure their employees and their family (including Parents), Professionals who are settled in a metro but Parents in tier 2, 3 or in outskirts. Today, Corporate can play a bigger and vital role to extend this benefit to the LIG / EWS at large through CSR contribution. Indian Corporate who have huge setup in outskirts and towns ideally should go for these kind of services increasing more loyalty, dedication, efficiency and productivity in their employees in return to the safety measures taken by the company for their families.

Truely said and well provided information about the "Book Air Ambulances", we have a huge crowd of society here irrespective of the Tier level facilities of hospitalization, would definitely agree to a conclusion of the affordability, we have seen several situations where families fly overseas for a holiday and spend more than their level of affordability, locking themselves for years to clear those loans of overseas travels, cause they say these are memories tied up for life, but I think this is one such option of locking yourselves for a safety platform, for your family and individual's health safety. There needs to be a lot of awareness and governmental policies in terms of insurance provisions to such cause, at least to a level where a clear niche requirements can be created to reach a common man taking it to the next level.
