Candidates were asked to follow each of the guidelines issued by the exam authority which left no stone unturned to conduct a fair testing this time. Many candidates were asked to remove items like Belts, wallets, tabeez etc.
It especially caused inconvenience to girls who had to unpin their hair clips and even as much as their nosepins. Many parents were seen helping their wards in managing their belongings.
“My daughter was asked to remove her nosepin as well as her earrings. While it was all mentioned in the guidelines we did not think it would so serious that even such items would not be allowed,” said the mother of a candidate who was sent back for having her jewelry on.
But the authorities did not just stop at jewelries. Some students who wore covered sandals and shoes were also asked to change the same or go in bare feet.
“I did not know that even heels would not be allowed inside the centre,” said Remya who borrowed slippers from her father after she was not allowed inside because of her heels.
Although candidates who had come to the centre alone were allowed inside with their bags but they were collected at the entry point itself by the staff.

Keeping in mind the guidelines, the entry also closed at sharp 9.30 am. While majority of the students had entered the centre before time some still lagged behind by a few minutes.
“I am five minutes late,” said an anxious Ravi who stood outside and pleaded with the authorities to open the gates. “I don’t want to lose a chance to appear for AIPMT because of being late.”
Moderate to tough difficulty level: Majority of the experts as well as students found AIPMT 2015 to be easier compared to the previous one held on May 3, 2015.
While students have found Biology to be the easiest among all the sections, experts have rated the re examination to be ‘Moderate’. Interestingly, unlike the exam on May 3, this time the question pattern followed the syllabus NCERT.
Physics, as in the previous years, was the toughest in the test with many questions in coming in the numerical format. The section did not only have tricky questions but most of the questions were also lengthy. This time Physics also had many numerical based questions.
“I expected Physics to be tough,” says Bhoomika “I did get stuck with some of the questions, especially, the ones which were numerical based.”
A candidate from Haryana, Shushil said that the paper was easy for her. “Physics was the most difficult subject followed by Chemistry. Biology is my favourite subject hence I found it to be the easiest as well. Anybody who has studied properly from NCERT text book would find the paper easy.”
While Physics was tough Chemistry was of Moderate level. Topics included in this section were Organic Chemistry, Carbon Cycle, Inorganic Chemistry among others. Many questions in Chemistry were from NCERT syllabus.
Same was the case with Biology, which was also the easiest section in the AIPMT 2015 retest paper. “I found Biology to be quite manageable. Most of the questions were from NCERT. So I was not stuck in any sticky situation.”
