Call it whatever you want! Nurses are starting to make moves! It's about damn time! Nurses are highly skilled, trained and versatile! Nurses are realizing their value and are taking their talents where they are most appreciated! Nurses are tired of low pay, poor leadership and poor working conditions. Nurses are starting to seek out different roles and moving away from the traditional bedside role due the sometimes unreasonable expectations that are being placed upon them. Many nurses are looking to remote positions, outpatient settings and even becoming entrepreneurs. Times have changed and there are so many opportunities for nurses! There are truly no limits! Nurses want respect, appreciation and appropriate compensation. Put some respect on our names! Ain't nobody got time for foolishness!
Keep Your Pizza
As we have seen the social media comments, Nurses are tired of pizza parties! I think by now organizations have got the point that simply giving out pizza to your staff is not fixing the real complex issues of the nursing profession. Nurses are making more waves and uniting to tackle real issues in nursing such as workplace violence, unfair wages and safe staffing ratios. More Nurses are engaging in health care policy in order to make some much needed changes.
Stronger United
Nurses are professionals who are able to solve complex issues and adapt easily to the changes in healthcare. Nursing is the largest healthcare profession and there are about 28 million nurses globally according to the World Health Organization (WHO, 2020). Nurses are in a unique position to bring about change and raise awareness on so many important health topics. Nurses have the power to impact patients from wherever they decide to lead from.

New Generation & Innovations
The new generation of nurses will bring creative ideas to the table. If the new nurses are not given a seat at the table, that's ok, because guess what, they will be creating their own tables! It is our duty to support, guide and mentor the novice nurses to reach their fullest potential! Nursing and healthcare need a spark of innovation, a pinch of reality and a dose of transformation!
Nurses run healthcare and it's time to keep it moving forward!
