AiN # 19: Reflection & Highlights for Year 2023

Thank you for reading AiN's latest issue on Reflection & Highlights for Year 2023

In 2023, I have achieved a lot as compared to previous years. However, I still feel and believe that I have not achieved or met my full (or even half) potential. That would be the aim, going forward, very ambitious, right? yes it is, I believe, that's the way to go. However, let's park that here and continue with the highlights

1. Visited several cities in DACH and Europe and delivered a few talks: 1) talk at DSC 2023 around Generative AI, Foundation Models, LLMs and their impact on the Business, 2) Delivered a Keynote speech at PPS event in Zurich, 3) Delivered a lecture to TUM students around AI for Business and Watsonx
2. Announcements such as IBM watsonx, and various projects that have challenged us to perform at our best for our clients and partners this year. Most of them were focused on Generative AI than Classical AI. How we collaborated shows once again the commitment and passion with which various projects were driven forward in 2023, for which I am very grateful!
3. In addition to the turbulence and successes, my commitment to be more active physically and outside every day kept me on my toes each and every day.
4. Conducted voluntary works for the community, started a few initiatives & continued working on innovation.
5. I've read many books and learned a lot this year; you must be asking what is many, right? Make a guess! How far did you come? I went over 50 books this year.

Here is a gift for you (My Youtube channel), that I started growing lately. It will offer you content on AI, Leadership Development and more.

The end of the year gives us another opportunity to reflect on the past year and draw strength and gratitude from what we have experienced. I have fond memories of exciting conversations with partners and customers, but also challenges mastered and hurdles overcome that filled me with pride. All of this has contributed to and promoted new perspectives and opportunities that we want to take advantage of with our colleagues, partners, and customers.

This allows me to conclude the year with deepest confidence and gratitude and a great outlook to 2024. As well as planning the new year, I am thinking about personal and professional goals, designing new creative projects, and how we can contribute to society in these difficult times.

I also want to focus on sharing my skills, knowledge, and experience and give something back to my community. Let’s celebrate the experiences and adventures that have made us better and allowed us to grow as people.
