AimValley & Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility (#CSR) is about business ethics and responsibility for each other, society, and the environment. At AimValley, we are well aware of the potential impact our decisions and activities may have on our company, our employees, or the environment. To address this impact we have set up a CSR policy focused on those areas where our influence is noticeably the highest.
Our CSR policy is an integral part of our overall business strategy!
More and more customers demand that companies change how they do business, become more transparent, and actively address social, cultural, and environmental issues. This attitude towards CSR certainly also applies to AimValley’s global customer base.
What is our CSR about?
Our ethical and integrity principles are laid down in the AimValley Code of Conduct. The ACC is based on the Responsible Business Alliance (#RBA) code of conduct. The main areas of the ACC, are:
How do we track our compliance?
To monitor our CSR ambition, our goals and objectives are tracked and evaluated by independent, external companies.
EcoVadis Business Sustainability Ratings
The object of the EcoVadis methodology is to measure the quality of our company's sustainability management through our policies, actions, and results. It is a set of assessments focused on 21 sustainability criteria that are grouped into 4 themes:
AimValley has been in the 2% of companies rated by EcoVadis since 2018.
ISO certification
The ISO - International Organization for Standardization promotes worldwide proprietary, industrial, and commercial standards. Within AimValley two standards have been ingrained in our processes.
CMRT & CRT
As part of the AimValley Code of Conduct and quality management system, we have incorporated several policies to underpin our CSR. One of these policies deals with the use of conflict minerals (#Tin, #Tantalum, #Tungsten, #Gold).
As we do not purchase these materials directly from any smelter or mine, we must rely on the source information that our suppliers provide. We use the Conflict Mineral Reporting Template (#CMRT) process to validate that our processes comply with the latest CMRT standards. Since 2020 we have also introduced the #Cobalt Reporting Template (#CRT).

How do we involve ourselves and our people?
Being a responsible company is not just about looking good to your customers. Yes, more and more customers demand that companies change how they do business, become more transparent, and actively address social, cultural, and environmental issues, but at AimValley it is much more than that!
Getting our people involved is key to the success of our compliance. Next to all the 'boring' KPIs we set for our company, we actively engage our people to embrace our values.
Lowering our carbon footprint
We are a tech company, and we are well aware that our labs consume enormous amounts of energy (high-speed stuff after all). To control our energy consumption, we have installed several energy reduction initiatives, from solar panels on our building, and sedum roofing, to LED lighting throughout.
Our company cars are electric and we provide charging facilities for our employees at our premises, doing our small part for the UN climate goals for 2030.
Promoting a healthy lifestyle
An apple a day keeps the doctor away - that is why we provide free fruit to all our employees, daily! Recently we provided all employees with a free health check, monitoring blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol, and providing guidance on making some lifestyle changes.
Some of our employees have joined a gym and work out together under our AimFit moniker. This has resulted in our first business run in 2023.
We even have Yoga Zoom Sessions!
Giving something back!
We also look outside our own small circle. As part of the Dutch circular economy, all beverage cans have a reusable packaging deposit. It is 'just' 15 cents per can, but many cans make a lot of money. The proceeds of these cans are donated to the Dutch charity CliniClowns .
Started in 1992 with only 2 CliniClowns, they now have over 100 clowns, providing a smile for everyone who feels scared, insecure, lonely, or sad.
It turns out, being responsible is actually a fun thing to do!
