AIMI Wraps Up a Transformative 2024
Australian Innovation Management Institute (AIMI)
Making innovation real.
As 2024 draws to a close, the Australian Innovation Management Institute (AIMI) reflects on a year of significant achievements and meaningful impact in advancing innovation management in Australia.
AIMI significantly expanded its reach this year, delivering global best-practice insights and certifications in innovation management. Partnering with the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI), AIMI equipped numerous participants with essential skills and tools, reinforcing its position as a trusted leader in building innovation management capabilities in Australia.
A major milestone was achieved in August as AIMI celebrated its first anniversary—an exciting testament to its contributions to the field of innovation management. This momentum sets the stage for broader expansion across Australia in 2025.
Key Highlights of 2024
Flagship Events: AIMI hosted impactful events that brought together thought leaders and practitioners to exchange ideas and foster collaboration.
GIMI Certified Innovation Catalyst: For the first time, AIMI introduced in-person Certified Innovation Catalyst workshops and certification in Australia, empowering participants to apply innovation principles to real-world commercial environments.
Innovation Potential Assessment (IPA): AIMI collaborated with organisations to assess their teams’ innovation potential using GIMI’s IPA—a user-friendly tool that evaluates team members’ innovative mindset and their level of knowledge and tools to make innovation real.

“Kent on behalf of AIMI was highly knowledgeable on the subject matter and provided his own wealth of experience in how it can apply in a commercial environment.”

“I recently took part in the Certified Innovation Catalyst workshop, and as an Innovation Manager, I can attest that the day was a very exciting experience, filled with rich content and opportunities to learn. There are very few institutions or curricula that are designed to teach innovation principles well—let alone enable their application to real-world environments. After my first workshop, I’m impressed with AIMI’s CIC content and delivery and look forward to completing further training very soon.”
