Aim High, UPRIGHT

This is a Special Edition of Aim High. I am running into challenges with article writing on LinkedIn... something about exceeding character counts, and only a paragraph in. This Aim High is, in part, a test of that functionality... but also a test of resolve... grounded in UPRIGHTness.

Life has a way of throwing curve balls, and some of them are huge curves. Many in this world are dealing with gargantuan curves. For me, the curves are tech issues and sickness right now. Nothing "major" but they are curves all the same. As I am embarking on a Course in Stoicism currently, I am being reminded of objectivity and Acceptance and the capacity to know what it is I truly control and do not. That in mind, I just posted on LinkedIn.

• It seems I am getting "character count" messages now with article writing... and this impacts my writing on Character and Virtue in the form of articles. I am investigating same. That said, I continue here. In "Forging Understanding", I had offered up thoughts and links around the first core Virtue... KNOWledge... and I invite you to have a read and reflect. For now, I will be posting on future Virtues or Strengths of Character...

• Moving along on posts around Character, I will next be considering and offering up on UPRIGHTness or Justice ... Virtues are more than being "good" or "strong". They are myriad faces, facets and forms of Character. They ground our behaviour ... and I have long and humbly contended that Character is the soil from which great behaviour arises. Today, a "bug" hit me big time and still resides. It is nasty. Also, I ran into apparent changes in article writing on LinkedIn early this morning. As I post from my laptop, I am ever aware that objectivity and seeing challenges for what they are ... is an upright stance. So is knowing when to rest. UPRIGHTness sees what needs be seen and walks ... seeing truth and acting upon it. Or rests thusly, as I now need to do so. Peace.

That said, firstly... I am now not seeing the "character count" message; until I add an image with many words.... hmmmm again... like one of the Virtues Reflection Cards I share. Interesting. Hmmmm. Again and again, hmmmmm. The exploration continues. The testing continues. The adapting continues.

Secondly, I am indeed reminded of UPRIGHTness. Knowing what is right, for me. Understanding that, like us all, we are noble in potential. Letting Integrity distinguish our actions. Standing tall, humbly so... and walking our lives. This is UPRIGHTness... in practice. It is about facing life, challenges and opportunities alike... seen objectively... and walking and resting through them.. with Integrity.

For now, I am considering how I adapt on the article writing. I am walking UPRIGHT through that ... and the bug. For now, certain visuals are out... but we will see. For now, Aim High and A PEACE of WORK will be straight on text and links, sans some of the visuals. For now, my posts on the remaining Virtues through this Humanity Map Project ... will be direct posts or articles however they are manifested. But, we will continue UPRIGHT.

As to the bug... resting with UPRIGHTness is about recognizing what we need when we need it. And, I need rest, now. And... for now... I encourage you to read and reflect on the Virtue that is UPRIGHTness as found in the cover pic. What might it look like for you now? In deeds and words? Where and with whom? What would be the return on that investment of practice and action?
