Aiding the Refugee Population in Nashville

World Refugee Day is a day to recognize, honor, and support people who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict or persecution. As Nashville continues to grow, it has become a destination for refugees. Our office celebrates the cultural richness of refugee communities that help make Nashville a special place.

There are several organizations in our city that support our refugee neighbors:

Inspirtus guides individuals and families on a path from surviving to thriving. They provide enrichment services, such as therapeutic art sessions, healthy living support groups, healthy garden workshops, and food pantry services. You can get involved through volunteer work, becoming a foster parent or support companion, providing donations, and attending events.

The Nations Ministry Center is committed to helping refugees rebuild their lives. They do this through youth development and literacy programs, elder enrichment services, and citizenship support. You can get involved through volunteer work and providing donations.

NICE's mission is to ensure refugees and immigrants achieve their full potential now and for generations to come. They do this through advocacy, relationship building, service programs, and partnerships.
