In the age of AI's remarkable advancement, K-12 students are embracing its transformative power to tackle present-day challenges and unleash their imaginative visions of the future. By harnessing this technology, kids are empowered to solve real-world problems, holding the potential to reshape our world for the better. Together, they will be displaying their efforts at our annual symposium.
AIClub's Student Research Symposium showcases the innovative AI research projects done by students in grades 6-10. These projects touch a variety of areas and fields; space, healthcare, social good, climate change, the fine arts and much more. Come support the next generation of changemakers and see their brilliant AI-based innovations!
Students, parents and educators are all welcome to attend. The event is free of charge and will be held via Zoom.
Last year's symposium was a big success! Our Keynote speaker for 2022 was Dr.Nikunj Oza, the leader of the Data Sciences Group at NASA Ames Research Center. Dr.Nikunj spoke of Data Science at NASA! 9 students then presented award-winning AI projects, and the symposium wrapped up with a session on preparing for college and research by AIClub CEO and Co-Founder Dr.Nisha Talagala.
Here's what to expect from this year's symposium:
Keynote Speaker -- Ashish Bansal
Ashish currently works on accelerating ML workloads at Google. Previously, he has worked on recommendation systems and NLP at Amazon/Twitch, Twitter, and Capital One. He has founded startups and worked in large enterprises over his 20+ year-long career. Ashish published a book on Advanced NLP. He is the co-founder of the IIT AI/ML forum, growing it to over 1500 members.

A range of project presentations in diverse fields
K-12 students have come up with unique ideas and solutions to real-world challenges, and powered them through AI! These award-winning projects have been recognized for their problem-solving efforts and the creative application of AI in these fields. Session on College Prep and Research
