As we embrace ourselves to the Artificial Intelligence Conference and Expo (AICE) 2024 taking place from May 27-29, 2024, at Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology , it shall brings together the foremost minds in AI, providing a platform for networking, learning, and collaboration.

AICE 2024 is not just a conference; it is an incubator for ideas, a forum for discussion, and a launching pad for the next generation of AI advancements. Over three action-packed days, attendees will delve into the latest research, explore cutting-edge technologies, and engage in stimulating discussions on the future of AI.

Day 1: Setting the Stage

The conference opens on May 27 with a series of thought-provoking sessions in the B2 Auditorium. Following the Tilawat and National Anthem, Dr. Sohail K. will kick-start the event, setting the tone for the days to come. Followed by Hon. Dr. Mohammad Mujahid , Rector PAF-IAST shall deliver the welcome note, and Dr. Nasser Ali Khan, Project Director, PAF-IAST will share the vision of PAF-AIST, a key initiative from KPK government shaping higher education in Pakistan.

The morning sessions feature Dr. Syed Ali Irtaza discussing Physics Informed Neural Networks and Dr. Muhammad Haroon Yousaf exploring the potential of Swarm Robotics. The AITeC Team from National Center for Physics shall present two seminars on Edge Computation, transforming devices with intelligence.

The afternoon continues with Dr. Zaffar Haider Janjua insights into Industrial IoT, Sheza Tahir’s exploration of Virtual Reality in healthcare, and Dr. humaira ayub presentation on AI and Genetics. The day concludes with a networking tea break, allowing participants to connect and exchange ideas.

Day 2: Keynote Talks and Industry Insights

May 28 is packed with keynote talks from industry leaders. Highlights include Khurram Hassan on AI in the banking sector, Mr. Rauf ur Rahim on best enterprise practices in AI, and Hira Shaukat on actionable insights with Big Data Analytics. Other keynotes cover diverse topics such as AI in Psychology, Chemical and Energy Engineering, and the Textile Industry.

In the afternoon, Dr. Muhammad Aftab Akram will delve into AI in Material Sciences, Dr. Arshad Iqbal, PhD will discuss the Vision Internet of Things, and Priv.-Doz.Dr. Bernhard Moser will talk about Personalized AI. Each session promises to provide deep insights into the practical applications and future potential of AI.

Day 3: AICE Forum and Panel Discussions

The final day, May 29, features the AICE Forum, beginning with Dr. Yasar Ayaz talk on NCAI's forefronts in AI in Pakistan. Subsequent talks include Dr. Qaisar Ahsan on human-machine synergy, and Dr. Muhammad Murtaza Khan from Sybrid Private Limited - A Lakson Group Company .

A highlight of the day is the panel discussion on skills-based education in AI for the industry, featuring experts like Adnan Yousuf Kazi , Zeeshan Bokhari , and Anas Zafar from S&P Global . This session aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs.

The forum will also explore whether AI can truly replace humans or if it remains a myth, with Ahmad Manzoor leading the discussion. Dr. Reaz Uddin will present on finding new drug targets using data-intensive methods, and Dr. Faisal Shafait will close with a session on AI in Computer Vision.

Interactive Workshops

Throughout the conference, participants can engage in hands-on workshops led by experts. These include topics like computer vision, mastering LabVIEW, AI-on-the-edge computing, and competing in Kaggle competitions.
