#AI4ALL - A Universal Human Right?

Artificial intelligence is a crescendo, a powerful force that can potentially lift humanity to unprecedented heights. However, if many are denied access to this power, the harmony becomes discordant, and the promise of progress turns into the danger of division.

Aristotle once said:

The whole is more than the sum of its parts.

In the context of AI, universal access’s collective benefits far outweigh a privileged few’s isolated advantages. AI, in its purest form, is the philosopher’s stone of our time, capable of transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary, ignorance into insight, and limitation into liberation.

If access to AI continues to be a privilege and not a right, we risk creating a new form of tyranny — not that of kings and emperors, but that of algorithms and data oligarchs. As John Locke might warn:

Where there is no law, there is no liberty.

The law must be equal and ensure that AI is a liberator, not a guardian.

The essence of AI lies in its ability to democratize knowledge and opportunity and act as a torchbearer in the pursuit of human enlightenment. The denial of this access leads to a modern Platonic cave, where the shadows cast by the elite obscure the potential beyond the reach of the many.

Let us not forget the words of Martin Luther King Jr., who once said:

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Therefore, we need #AI4All.
