AI for You and Me (Part 1) Getting Started

AI for You and Me (Part 1) Getting Started

Hello Guys,

This past week has been quite eventful and feels like a month's worth of activities have passed me by.

Am pretty sure you feel that same frenetic busyness just as much.

Hang in there, as it's Thursday, an Extra-Special one, as I am part of the 9th Cohort of the No-Code x AIBootcamp with Max and Harold, two gentlemen I hugely admire and look forward to learning from.

This Week's TLDR Nuggets:

Understanding AI or Machine Intelligence

If you are feeling jaded by the term AI, then let's call it machine intelligence just for today. ??

"Despite the hype and amazing capabilities that AI models like ChatGPT have shown, we are still in the early innings of artificial general intelligence becoming a mainstream technology." Sanjeev Krishnan

So Take a deep breath, and Yes you still have time to upskill ??

The 3 top AI curious questions I often get are:

1.??? How do I start learning AI?

2.??? How can I discover what AI can do for me and my business?

3.??? How can I make money with AI tools?

I will address these questions in a 3-part series due to the vast resources available for each area.

The beginning is often the hardest part: Just Start!

Major players like IBM, Nvidia, Google, and Microsoft offer free courses.

I started with a paid AI Bootcamp that covered everything from tech explanations of what an LLM was, to the hype cycle of AI to building our first AI projects.

Learning is personal.

You need to be honest with yourself. If you are not the kind of person who can learn remotely online with your own dedication, then unguided remote courses are not for you.

Tools for Learning: Prompt Framework to Use

Here is a link to a prompt generator that can help you get the correct output. Also, 100 Days of AI has a rad PREP Framework:

  • P= Prompt
  • R= Role
  • E= Explicit Instruction
  • P= Parameter

Developing a Critical Mindset: Critical Thinking with AI

Remember, AI assistants always answer, though not always factually.

This is known as hallucinations.

So, question the output.

Ask if it is accurate or factual.

Choosing Your Path: What to Learn About AI

AI is broad.

Ask yourself what you want to know more about.

AI ethics?

Integrating AI into the Creative Process?

AI Sustainability?

Before you start making money with AI, it's important to learn about it first.

Tinker and Play with Different AI Models (Free and Paid versions)

This month my 20 dollars is going to You.com

For the past 2 months, it was Anthropic 's Claude

A few months prior it was Google's Gemini and ChatGPT

My point is you will only know what the capabilities are when you allow yourself the time to play in their virtual “playgrounds”

Try the Free versions, though if you can, upgrade to the paid-for ones, as you will notice a quality output and speed difference.?

?Last Thoughts

Genai is not only about text generation.

Genai Text can create images and business logos via text-to-image creation

Genai Text can create code ( i.e. It can write some Python for you)

Genai Text can create videos in minutes

Genai Text can create music

?That’s why it is such a ridiculously exciting time to be alive. ?

We have the tools, it's now more about your PURPOSE with them!

Why relegate yourself to the same old job that does not bring you joy!?

Start learning AI and No-Code and you will see that there is an abundance of opportunity that’s waiting for you.

Most of the time it is ourselves that corrupts our dreams.

We are afraid. That's normal and okay.

Just don’t be afraid to try, as your greatest gifts lie within you, hoping to be built.

Yes, you can build that mobile app, and yes, it won't be ready to ship to market and make millions of dollars, but that's not the point.

?The point is to show up and try to build, albeit badly at first. ?

?Remember, you are not Wikipedia, and no, you can't learn it all.

Certainly not at once.

Give yourself time to integrate what you are learning, so you can truly reflect, and think!

Keep asking questions and being you.

?If there is a topic you would like me to write about, I will do my best, just get in touch with me. ?

Blessings always
