AI within the Customer Journey #2

AI within the Customer Journey #2

It’s not that easy and it depends. That’s what I learned when I started exploring more AI marketing tools and trying to position them into the Customer Journey.

So it looks like my journey will be less linear than expected. This week I am going to focus on three tools that I actively used throughout the week while focusing on Product Marketing activities: (I have not relationship to these companies, nor am I a purporting to be an analyst)

Anyword

ChatGPT

Descript

Anyword - Text, Composition, Optimize Message

My friend and marketing master Amber Artrip introduced me to Anyword. It is a great tool for working with text. Yes, that's pretty broad. But this tool offers a wide collection of features that can not only help with refining specific paragraphs and sentences, and optimizes text for different social media channels, but can even generate an entire website based on your inputs.

The feature I love: Website - Product Landing Page Creator

Anyword prompts me to complete a simple ‘brief’ and then generates components of a product landing page. I can then go into the various components (title, subtitle, description, features, benefits,...) and work to improve those. I found that completing the brief with my product marketing information such as the value proposition, messaging framework, and other methodologies works very well.

ChatGPT - Text, Research

Nothing new, but it is so incredibly versatile and incredibly cost effective (even free) that it should definitely be part of everyone’s AI set of tools. I like it the best for research and discovery. After spending a little time learning more about intelligent prompting, I have been able to get much better and more targeted information.

The feature I love: Creating normalized research results

When looking to get information about how different industries may use ‘multidimensional modeling’ or looking for details about a set of marketing tools, ChatGPT has provided me with a well organized and consistent set of information that I can then repurpose in a presentation table or spreadsheet for additional work. Success here depends on how specific I am with my prompts.

Descript - Video

On a scale of 1-10, Descript is a “Dope Sauce”. I invested one hour to watch two tutorial webinars at 1.5x speed and was ready to go. I have created and edited a podcast, as well as created several company intro videos with that limited education and little reference to their help center. What makes Descript so easy to use is that the video is edited based on the script. I imported the Podcast video I recorded with my friend and PM Legend John Garrish and Descript transformed the voice to text. For the company intro videos I typed the text and it transformed the text to voice. Either way, I was working with the script to create scenes and then add video, text, captions, and music to these scenes.

The feature I love: My own AI voice

It’s a little disturbing the first time you hear it. No joke. It is super authentic. What I love it that now I can skip the time it takes to record, rerecord, rerecord, rerecord, and …… you have been there I am sure. I can wordsmith exactly what I want and adjust it on the fly. My AI voice just adapts to the new script. BONUS: If you are going to do a company intro video, the ‘product landing page’ feature describe above in Anyword is an awesome place to start.

Hope this is helpful and you also have some fun playing with these new AI-powered tools.

Inspiring

I wonder how do we orchestrate these tools to develop (nearly) seamless product marketing pipelines.
