AI vs Human: Who will win?

Ever since the introduction of chatgpt, it has made headlines about its capabilities and as a fan of AI, I do think it is interesting tool to use. However, the amount of the fear mongering articles in many news outlets and social media platforms has been outrageously blown out of proportion. The examples of the titles that were shared virally such as “Can ChatGPT Replace Me” series whereby people with various backgrounds like content writers, software engineers, and lawyers are putting chatgpt to test, to see if it is capable to replace their positions one day.

I think the whole affairs seems to be a little over the top because... come on, chatgpt replacing a lawyer’s position? Genuinely, that premise would make a good plot for an awesome Sci fi movie. Imagine a class action suit filed against a powerful organization by a cute robot or a cute AI tool and *spoiler alert* the AI wins! I would watch this movie in the cinema.

I am not an expert by any means, but as a member of this society and a frequent user of AI tools, to read about anxieties of people who are supposedly being the expert on this matter, claiming that it will end civilization- seems dramatic. All those anxieties driven articles and videos are just a symptom of distrust. We are just showing humans do not trust ourselves and one another, to take care ourselves and our world and, it will lead to the end of the world. And unfortunately, it is becoming more and more apparent. We are so scared that chatgpt will take over our jobs that we forget that human has the ability to improvise and that we can always work with AI tools for the betterment of ourselves and our world.

Besides, it does not have to be a competition between AI and humans. Why? Because human beings and AI have different strengths and weaknesses, and each has its own unique purpose and value to all. We can work together to make the world a better place. For example, AI is amazing at handling complex data and computations such as machine learning, automation, and data analysis. But it lacks in creativity, intuition, and empathy that we, human possess. And from my knowledge, we need those “humanness” to create art, making ethical decisions, and maintaining meaningful relationships. On the other hand, humans have cognitive abilities and emotional intelligence that far exceed AI's capabilities. Humans have the ability to think creatively, empathize with others, and understand complex social dynamics. These are skills that are difficult for AI to replicate.

So, instead of viewing it as a competition, it's better to think of AI as a tool that can enhance human capabilities and help us solve problems more efficiently. By combining the strengths of both humans and AI, we can achieve remarkable progress in fields such as healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability.?
