A few weeks back had written about AI link to which is attached below.
Though I had concluded that in the present scenario AI is nowhere near Human intelligence I had received varied feedback on the same from different people.
Today am exploring the various reasons why though at present as an overall package AI is nowhere near the capabilities of human intelligence there are individual sectors where AI has scored over Human intelligence (HI) and how these factors can help AI to go ahead in several sectors.
Let’s start with the hardware advantages.
1.???? Speed of computational elements.
Biological neurons operate at a peak speed of 200hz which is almost 20 times slower than the speeds at which artificial intelligence operates and the speed of artificial intelligence is increasing day by day.
Frequency refers to the speed at which a CPU can execute instructions. It's measured in Hertz (Hz), meaning?cycles per second. Therefore, a higher frequency means more instructions can be executed per second, leading to faster processing.
The human brain makes up for this by following a pattern of massive parallelization but is incapable of rapidly processing any action that requires a huge number of sequential operations.
So, if the human brain, which has unmatchable capabilities in parallel processing gets complemented by digital support on the sequential part from artificial intelligence the results would be unimaginable.
2.???? Communication speeds within the various parts of the intelligence
Because of physical limitations axons carry action commands at speeds of 120m/s or less whereas electronics communication can reach the speed of light which works out to around 30 crore m/s.
To understand axons, each neuron in your brain has one long cable that snakes away from the main part of the cell. This cable, several times thinner than a human hair, is called an axon, and it is?where electrical impulses from the neuron travel away to be received by other neurons.
The only way presently a biological brain can increase speed is by reducing its size which then reduces its capabilities.
3.???? No of computational elements
The Human brain has somewhere nearer to 100 billion neurons. The human brain is about 3.5 times the size of a chimpanzee and one fifth the size of a sperm whale. While we are not presently sure what really decides the size to which a brain can grow, artificial intelligence has no such limitation and even in the present stage can be built to reach big warehouses and additional size can be added based on better connectivity.
4.???? Storage Capacity
We all know how varied and different human memories work. Each one of us has memories where on one side we remember very clearly with all details of step-by-step happenings, but we also would have pockets of time about which we wouldn’t have a clear memory or recollection. The same would also differ from person to person.

The improvements in storage capacity of digital devices and their continued improvements lead to much more increased storage capacity for Artificial Intelligence. Further digital devices with a certain amount of storage perform the exact same way provided we can provide the same environment for them to work.
Artificial intelligence is also dependent on software just like the hardware conditions that we spoke about. So as the capability of the software improves the capabilities of the artificial intelligence also increase.
Some other factors which could also favour artificial intelligence, and which could make them more powerful than human brains are also listed below.
5.???? Editability
We already have mobile phones, cars, and several other devices which we use daily where the software keeps getting updated with the latest available software without us being aware about it. This same feature is a great advantage for Artificial Intelligence compared to Human Intelligence where we still haven’t found of way of doing the same.
6.???? Duplicability
Once we have frozen on a particular model which meets the needs in the case of Artificial intelligence it’s very easy to create similar models in scale which is not the case with Human Intelligence.
7.???? Goal Co-ordination
Each Human is a unique individual and exact and same goal-oriented action is almost impossible with humans as each one has the capability to think and take things forward towards the decided goal. However, in artificial intelligence each of the machines works in the same way as they are aligned towards the goal. Each of these has their own benefits depending on the type of goals and the action required for the same.
8.???? Memory sharing
The biological brain needs extended periods of training and mentorship while artificial memories could easily acquire new memories and skills by swapping data files and using the skills learned by any one of the digital machines. The improvements in connectivity have also enabled digital memories to learn and pick up information from a central database so this further makes memory sharing easier.
9.???? New modules
We know that the human brain does create new pathways are we learn something new and reinforce them with continuous practice. In the case of artificial intelligence, it’s easy to keep adding newer and needed modules as per the specific requirements and needs.
In conclusion, the comparison between artificial and human intelligence underscores the remarkable advancements achieved in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). While artificial intelligence systems have made significant strides in replicating certain cognitive functions and even surpassing human capabilities in specific tasks, they still fall short in emulating the depth and breadth of human intelligence. Human intelligence is deeply rooted in emotional, social, and ethical dimensions that AI struggles to comprehend fully.
However, AI continues to evolve, driving innovation across various domains. The convergence of artificial and human intelligence remains a dynamic and exciting frontier, promising a future where they complement each other to enhance human lives and solve complex global challenges.
