Video marketing is already a huge part of the marketing strategy for many brands, and it’s only going to increase. Mostly because it’s so effective - 84% of people have purchased a product or service because of marketing videos.?
But it’s hard to create engaging videos: you have to have a presenter, lots of space, a good camera and lighting and sound recording, or you have to rely on unoriginal stock footage or very expensive animation
So how can you keep up with the ever growing demand for high quality video content??
One exciting possibility is exploring cutting edge AI tools that promise to make your life easier, by slashing the amount of time, resources and energy it takes to create high quality videos.
How AI can help
Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help overcome these challenges. AI tools like RunwayML, Stable Video Diffusion, and Pika Labs can seriously cut down the resources required to create high-quality videos.?
AI can animate avatars to 'speak' in sync with a voiceover or synthetic voice, animate an entire scene from a still image or text prompt, and assist in the scriptwriting process.?
AI can also turn data into stories and generate helpful graphics and charts.
What AI is currently good at
AI is currently good at creating unique scenes with realistic camera movement, making it a good replacement for stock footage.
AI can also streamline the content creation process, generate ideas, write scripts, and even help to edit the final video, freeing up time and resources for other tasks.
What it struggles with
All of the currently available AI video tools struggle with animating faces and anything close up where there's a person or object doing an action.
So it’s much better to stick to landscapes, drone shots, architecture, and abstract scenes.?

Ways to get started
There’s a few different ways you can start experimenting with incorporating AI into your marketing workflows:
Signing up for RunwayML or Pika Labs
RunwayML and Pika Labs are both cutting edge platforms that allow you to write a simple text prompt and have a video clip created.?
For the more techy marketers: running Stable Video Diffusion
Stable video diffusion is an open source model that turns still images into videos. Here’s an example of a video I recently created using Dalle-3 and Stable Video Diffusion, along with an Elevenlabs voiceover: AI Future Predictions 2024 | AI Generated Video?
While it’s definitely a steep learning curve, the easiest way to do this is to install Comfy UI. You’ll also need a powerful graphics card.?
For dubbing videos into multiple languages
Instead of creating whole videos from scratch, one practical use of AI you can start with today is taking existing videos and creating versions in multiple languages.?
It only takes a few minutes to dub a video. First, create an account on Elevenlabs.io. Then, go to Dubbing and click ‘Create a new dub’. From here, select a video to dub, select the language you want to dub in and click Create.?
Where AI video marketing is going
In the future, AI is expected to refine its ability to create a scene from a text prompt, including describing the motion within it.?
This could lead to the creation of Hollywood-level cinematic clips with incredible detail and movement, high-end motion graphics or 3D animation pieces.
Currently, AI can be used to replace unoriginal stock video, create still images, graphs, and 3D renderings to use in traditionally created marketing videos, and dub videos into other languages using a synthetic voice from Elevenlabs.
However it’s important to note that AI tools don’t replace human creativity and insight into what your audience is looking for. Over time AI will likely find a place in your workflow, increasing your ability to create and find a larger audience for your brand.?
