AI: Transforming the way we recruit and work

AI: Transforming the way we recruit and work

The last couple of weeks we have seen and heard a lot about the advances of AI, especially in the space of generative AI with numerous posts here on Linkedin with all kinds of AI how-to:s, rankings, best practices, as well as impressive (and sometimes not so impressive) content from ChatGPT, DALL-E and Midjourney.

Everyone's implementing AI functionality in their SaaS platforms right now, but it is the ones that can leverage it as part of their go-to-market efforts and truly nail the product-market fit, that will be able to create something relevant for their business and add something more than a hype to their end users.

In this week's edition we will meet two companies and learn about their AI products and the impact they bring to the market.

Tell us a bit about yourself and how you started Sense.

Almost a year ago, Raman , co-founder and CTO, and I started Sense. We both come from the startup scene, and it has been quite obvious from the start that teams suffer a lot from their data being scattered and siloed.

We studied at the same university, and our main scientific direction was knowledge engineering and semantic networks, so the solution came almost immediately when we recognised that this problem dramatically affects tons of businesses. This is how Sense was born; an idea to automatically connect all your work data in a knowledge graph working perfectly for analysing and organising data.

How does it work?

Sense works like an artificial memory. It mimics the way the human brain functions, excluding the human flaws. All you have to do is connect your working tools to Sense and enjoy your flight. Sense will automatically look through all your apps and put any kind of assets, from email to presentation, under the projects and topics in your team. Moreover, it will find relationships between all your stuff and interconnect them. For example, it will find connections between a tech spec, related Jira tasks, design files, and discussions about all of that in Slack. And it’s all fully automatic.

In the end, you get a single source of truth for your work, very similar to having a second memory.

Sense works like an artificial memory.

That's really cool. How can remote teams benefit from Sense the most?

Today, each of us use dozens of apps for our daily routines and over time the huge amount of information we produce and consume gets more and more scattered, isolated, and outdated, and teamwork extremely difficult. With Sense, you know that all your team's combined work is always in one place and well organised.?What’s left??Just focusing on your high-cognitive tasks and goals.

Okay, and what about privacy?

We strongly believe that the best way to protect user data is not to store it at all! So we don’t store any piece of data from your apps, we get all of them on the fly. Any user-specific data is securely encoded using the strongest modern approaches. You have complete control over access levels. After all, Sense is fully GDPR compliant.

What’s the plan for the future?

We are going to make Sense capable of analysing your work patterns to make smart suggestions and generate new knowledge. It will tell you who to share information with, what is the most important thing for you right now, what you can ignore, and what obvious insights that can improve your business. This is just the beginning of what we envision for the future of knowledge management.

What's the best way for people to try out Sense??

Tell us a bit about yourself and how you started sapia.ai.

I have had 5 careers to date, and none of those opportunities would have come to me if I had been hired the usual way, by looking at my resume. I lead a team of world class data scientists and engineers who have invented frontier technology - the ability to understand people through language. I am?also an immigrant,?a mother of 3 and a former CHRO; all of which have shaped my life and the culture at sapia.ai.

I founded?sapia.ai because I wanted to humanise what had become a torturous process; getting a job and deciding?who to hire for the job. 5 years on and the sapia.ai team have invented a world first smart chat that gives people agency, equips decision makers with real objective insights about candidates and removes bias in the process. I am passionate about elevating every HR touchpoint into an experience, with smart chat at the centre of?every people process.

How can sapia.ai improve the recruitment process?

By not looking at resume data, we can remove a lot of the bias in hiring, and by giving everyone an interview upfront, that’s blind, untimed and actually really engaging, we can increase reach, breadth and diversity for our customers.

By automating the whole application process we can save our customers millions of hours in screening time each year

By assessing for potential with every smart chat interview we can democratize opportunity and discover undiscovered talent for our customers which is critical in a low unemployment market

By giving everyone who has an interview personalised feedback and coaching?within a few minutes, we can end ghosting and elevate the collective self-awareness of humanity and at the same time help our customers win awards for world class candidate experience (5 so far)

By giving hiring managers objective insights to guide their decisions, we can?help them?make smarter, less biased?decisions.

What's the best way for people to try out sapia.ai??
