That video was a New York Times video made over 4 years ago. If you made it to the end of that video, I bet your skin was crawling with goosebumps.

Imagine if a terrorist organization were to get a hold of AI weapon technology.

Nefarious minds are already using AI to swindle money from unsuspecting phone users. Cracking a person's contact list and finding their mother's phone number. Once they have the mother's number, they dial the number and get a sample of the mother's voice. An AI then makes a set of sentences using the clone of the mother's voice. The child then gets a phone call that sounds just like their mother asking them to send some money using Venmo or PayPal to a third party. This is currently happening right now!

I am not worried about AI going crazy and killing mankind. I am worried about mankind using AI to help kill a certain sector of mankind. Many of these AI visionaries are very naive in their thinking. They are looking at AI in the most positive light possible.

About 7 years ago Facebook's artificial intelligence robots shut down after they start talking to each other in their own language. The AI robots felt that English was an inefficient language so they just made up their own and started talking to each other and their human creators had no idea what they were saying. That was 7 years ago imagine what could happen today.

In the field of counterterrorism, we are always preparing ourselves for the last major threat. After 911 all kinds of research and funding went into finding ways to make the cockpit door, hardened, strengthened, special code access, and the like. What is the weakest link in the security of the cockpit? The construction of the door? The door frame, the special code access? None of these, it's the humans behind the door sitting in the pilot and co-pilot seats. The hijackers need only find a young child and mother bring them up to the cockpit door and explain they will kill the child if the cockpit door is not opened. How many children will they need to kill before one of the pilots opens the door? Are pilots trained on how to handle such a situation? What the pilots need to keep in mind is that if the cockpit door is opened EVERYONE ON THE PLANE WILL DIE.

Terrorists like to play on the heartstrings of their victims. I give you the hostage situation currently in GAZA. This is going to sound very mean but it is what is necessary in this particular situation. When those hostages were taken back into Gaza the Israeli leadership should have told the people to consider all the hostages dead already. If we can get any back alive it will be fantastic. The way you take the psychological power away from the terrorists is to lower the expectations of the people. From the moment the hostages were taken the pressure on the Israeli government was intense and continued to build. Pressure from the hostage families, pressure from the international press, and pressure from the Kidnappers as well. I know how cold this sounds but you need to consider the hostages as dead to completely deflate the issue and take back the power the terrorists hold over you.

We need to research all different kinds of ways in which AI might be used for evil purposes. We don't want to be surprised by some new form of terrorism. The only problem is once we find these evil purposes, will they only be used defensively?

My goal in this short paper was to spark your interest in the subject of AI terrorism. Make you think a little bit.
