Today I’ll be talking about the wild world of super apps, AI, privacy, cybersecurity and everything that has the potential to be super smart.

I appreciated the insights you've shared with me about the crucial infrastructure considerations one needs to bear in mind when designing and building a super app and the AI you've used in your development. Now, what exactly is a super app? If you're picturing a Superman-style mobile application, you're not far off. These are powerful beasts in the digital world that go beyond just handling everyday tasks. Super apps aim to be the one-stop solution for multiple services in one centralized platform. Take WeChat for example. It started off as a communications app not unlike WhatsApp. But over time it branched off into e-commerce, short video platform and more. The key is consolidation - bringing together a wide array of functions under one roof. Ever imagined your shoes tracking your daily jog, optimizing your run, and perhaps, suggesting when it's time for a new pair? Or a jacket that monitors your posture, reminds you to sit up straight, and informs you about any irregular heart rhythms? Just like in Back to the Future Part 2 (my favorite movie ever!), the year was a fictional possible year of 2015... power laces were a thing and Nike's self-tightening shoes were just a start. Don’t forget in the movie they had the perfect size, talking jacket! As we delve deeper into the ocean of possibilities, expect an explosion of such innovations. "But what about my privacy?" I hear you say. With so much data being tossed around, surely there are concerns about keeping our personal information safe and away from prying eyes. Remember when Apple tightened its privacy policies and made data collection harder? That sent ripples across the tech world, didn't it? It did for Meta formerly known as “Facebook”... I just had a job interview for contract work with them and they told me! It’s harder for them to track users shopping habits for advertisers now as well as debugging and troubleshooting advertisement discrepancies with the data versus sales their advertisements on Meta make. But here's the game-changer. With AI and super apps, your data isn't a well-read book for all to peruse anymore but at the same time it will give companies the power to give you what you want and push you to buy more through their AI agents. So how does this work?

Imagine your super app as a fortress and your AI assistant as the loyal gatekeeper. The data never has to leave your device. Instead, the AI agent processes it internally and uses it to serve you better. Brands aren’t peeking into your life; they're relying on their AI agent to make informed decisions based on your data. It's like having a butler who respects your privacy. Your secrets are safe, and you get a personalized service. Now, that's a win-win! Privacy isn't a rare gem anymore. In this AI driven future, it’s a given. Your data stays on your device, brands stay out of it, and you get the personalized service you want without any data prying concerns. But wait... if my AI-driven wristwatch becomes my best friend, my shoes my perfect jogging companion, and the super app the ultimate personal assistant that will keep all your private details, how do they sync data or connect with each other without transferring this data?

Here is what I’ve come to understand and something I’m personally invested in creating and developing now... these AI assisted agents driven devices can and will develop languages that only machines know and understand, they will be able to sync your data within all the devices you have, and or they will develop just the basic methodical algorithms (supervised, semi-supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement ones) needed to recreate and set the seed for the same personalized feed to you, so there is no need to even pass on your actual private data. It’s like quantum reality and entangled particles! If you don’t know what that is, means or how that works, it’s okay, because neither does anyone else. ?? Okay so what about more advanced AI breaking into my devices you say? That’s where the next level of AI starts to come into play.

AGI: Your Personal Cyber Knight

Now, hold onto your seats, folks, because we're about to take a sharp turn into the territory of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). If you thought AI was smart, AGI is like the cooler, more talented older sibling who was captain of the chess team and could also play a mean guitar solo. But why are we suddenly talking about AGI in the midst of our super app saga? The future isn't just sunshine and daisies, there's the occasional raincloud too. And in our case, these are the nefarious AI and their equally sinister human overlords. AI’s will have to fight other AI’s because they are the only ones that understand the secret languages in this “secondary” internet that machines use to sync your personal data.

As our devices become more personalized, and our data more precious, they also turn into irresistible honey pots for cyber baddies. Evil AI and cybercriminals are like the pesky raccoons that rummage through your garbage cans at night, except these raccoons are after your data. But fear not, for AGI is here, donned in a virtual suit of armor, ready to thwart these raccoon-esque invaders. Think of your AGI as a hyper-intelligent, ultra-quick, cybersecurity specialist. It's the Gandalf to your Frodo, uttering a resounding "You shall not pass" to any unwelcome entity trying to breach your device's defenses. In very short words, it learns and adapts.

Now let's dive a bit deeper into this cat-and-mouse game between the AGIs and the bad guys, and the technological hurdles the latter must overcome (because who doesn't enjoy a good heist story, and as a producer and writer I love writing stories!). First thing is, we have the perimeter defense, sort of like the moat around your digital castle. This could be your Firewall, acting as the gatekeeper, deciding what traffic is allowed in and what isn't. It’s like the bouncer at a swanky club, only letting in the VIPs that’s (Valid Internet Packets) and shunning the riff-raff.

Next up, we have Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS). These are like your castle guards, patrolling your network, always on the lookout for suspicious activity. They identify potential threats from rogue AGI’s or evil AI’s and to alert you and your AGI, and take action to block them. But our AGI security system doesn't stop there. We've got encryption, turning your data into an indecipherable jumble for humans who don’t have the 'cyber key'. We've got two-factor authentication, adding an extra layer of protection, like a secret handshake to confirm your identity. This will become outdated once AI jumps onto quantum computers.

Off Topic: My Idea - A Photonic Cybersecurity Lab

Okay I’m going to jump a little off topic here, because this is where I will take a shot here to predict something that doesn’t exist yet, with my idea. If I was a billionaire, or if you are one reading this and would like to invest (in me) ??, I am proposing a radically innovative approach that pushes the boundaries of quantum physics and technology. My vision is to establish a novel type of lab specifically dedicated to the development of cutting-edge defenses against rogue AGI, malicious AI controlled by humans, and potential threats from Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI).

The core of my revolutionary concept revolves around the manipulation of photons through supercooling environment and then eventually room temperature. Imagine two vessels, each containing photons that have been slowed almost to a complete halt by passing them through a supercooled medium, liquid helium is a good example if you decide to look this up. This concept, known in quantum mechanics as 'slow light', forms the bedrock of my idea, and it’s really freaking cool. In my envisioned setup, these nearly 'frozen' photons would be quantum entangled. They would represent binary digits or 'bits' - the zeroes and ones that form the building blocks of all digital data. Quantum entanglement, a principle where particles become so interconnected that the state of one instantly affects the state of the other, regardless of the distance separating them, would allow for data to be encoded in one set of photons and decoded from its entangled partner.

The encoding and decoding process would essentially involve two sets of entangled photons. The first set would reside in a secured location, with the data being encoded into their quantum states. The second set, thanks to the marvel of quantum entanglement, would have their states instantly adjusted to match the first set, irrespective of the physical distance separating them. These entangled pairs, scattered across the two locations, would represent the encryption and decryption keys for our data. This is a quantum-encrypted data storage system that is virtually impenetrable. Should anyone make an unauthorized attempt to access the data, the quantum state of the photons would decohere, disrupting their entanglement and rendering the stored data unreadable.

This quantum feature provides a built-in defense mechanism against data theft, making it an incredibly secure form of data storage. The coupling of this encryption method that can be contained into what might be a form of 'a physical photonic data battery key' storage system, I believe, would be the cornerstone in creating an impregnable defense against even the most advanced cybersecurity threats and possibly, Artificial Super Intelligence. I will try to write more about my ideas and the application of quantum mechanics in data storage and encryption that aims to revolutionize the field of cybersecurity. I believe that this venture, if realized, could guarantee the absolute security of our digital world in the face of burgeoning rogue AGI, ASI technological threats. Well, you're in for a pleasant surprise. Just as we have health inspections for restaurants and safety standards for cars, I expect tech titans like Apple and Google to lay down stringent cybersecurity AGI norms for super apps on their platforms. They'll be like stern parents, ensuring their digital playground is safe for everyone. They'll demand super apps come with their own AGI security suite bodyguards. This isn’t just about countering cyber threats, it's about ensuring privacy in an increasingly interconnected world. Think about it: in the era of super apps, your data isn't spread across multiple platforms protected by their respective cybersecurity teams. Instead, it's concentrated in one place - your super app. In essence, your data's defense isn't a group effort or part of a heavily funded cybersecurity department anymore; it's a solo mission taken on by the AGI part of the super app.
