AI Startups Are Building Digital Clones to Handle Work Tasks
A growing number of AI companies now offer services that can mimic the way someone speaks, looks and writes through audio and video generators, as well as chatbots. But some startups, including Touchcast and Synthesia, are focusing on using eerily convincing digital replicas of professionals for work tasks.

This isn't some cutesy cartoon avatar. Touchcast, for example, can create a realistic-looking clone that matches a person's voice and mannerisms, from the tilt of a brow to an attentive gaze. The service can read a PowerPoint presentation and turn it into a script for the digital double, as well as incorporate documents and online content to generate responses.
