Is AI Revolutionising HR? AI says Yes!

It was quite ironic that an American lawyer had to apologise in a court after his submissions from an AI app turned out to be lies. So, the chatbot that cannot lie at all, lied to a ‘lawyer’, or ‘laiyer’ as some of us Indians say!?
In my limited experience over the last few months, I found AI chatbots to be very useful in providing me with generic information, especially if it’s about future trends where they tend to be very creative. AI helped me create a few mastery level coaching scenarios in seconds! When it came to specifics, not so good. I asked a few bots to give me verbatim translations by reputed commentators of well-known Asian scriptural works such as the Gita and Dhammapada, giving chapter and verse references. The outcome was shoddy, to say the least, and inaccurate. AI lied.?
My experiments continue. I have faith in AI. I also have faith in our corporate leadership, especially with the much-maligned HR tribe and also our future. I combined the three into the ‘Future of HR in our Corporate Workspace’ and asked Chatbot to tell me what it’s doing to help the hapless in HR. Leave it to you to evaluate.
My submission is not altruistic. Linked In News says that blogging on trending topics in LI attracts viewership. AI in HR is one such trending news this week, led by its ‘creative’ news editors. I haven’t seen anything worthwhile on that topic so far. Let’s see if AI cracks it and help me make it.?
These are a few emerging ‘real’ case scenarios with ‘real’ companies that the bot listed as AI-enabled HR initiatives. I have withheld the full names, just in case, AI lied. As introduction, Chatbot said that AI is revolutionising HR processes from recruitment to engagement, enhancing performance and efficiency.
Hiring
I and H, amongst others, have used AI chatbots to interact with candidates during screening, questioning, assessing the suitability and recommending role fits. Hiring processes improved.?

AI platforms personalise learning, create learning material and provide mentoring. D uses VR in work scenarios for recruits to familiarize them with practical skills. They hit the ground running.?

A uses AI for performance reviews and feedback to support employees in growth. AI database processes give accurate measurements and provide inputs for improvement.?

U uses AI sentiment analysis algorithms (this is what the bot said, honest!)??to analyse language patterns to detect stress so that HR can support well-being and work-life balance.?

Data Analytics
W uses AI algorithms to predict employee turnover to reduce attrition and target potential gaps, by analysing past data and developing patterns.?
It doesn’t say how AI helped identify people to be fired!
DEI (finally!)
G Inc used AI, and platforms such as HV, to remove gender-specific identifiers, and interviewed using language and facial expression tools to reduce bias.?
Not sure what happens if companies want to increase bias through these tools!?
AI chatbot concluded by saying by embracing AI organisations can be competitively advantageous by creating a more efficient and engaged workforce through better HR practices.
ChatGBT3.5 stores my files, in case I am sued!?
Just to make sure, I repeated more or less the same prompt a day later. This time, no company names were provided. They were masked as ABC or XYZ. Chatbot disclaimed at the end saying that the cases were illustrative and not real.?
That’s amazing machine learning, even before I published. I am impressed.
