Since my 80-year-old aunt knows how to use the photo and video editor software called Lensa, Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer just a buzzword (even though it's really machine learning).?

AI has been gaining ground with more short-staffed bosses learning about GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), Stable Diffusion, and Intelligent Document Processing.?

But what does this mean for the traditional boss-employee relationship??

Can bosses and managers still be effective in an AI-driven workplace, or is it time to step aside and let the machines take over???

The answer, it seems,?

That while AI can take care of the more mundane tasks associated with managing a business, like invoicing,?

There's still an important role for bosses to play.?

For one thing, great bosses have a unique ability to craft instructions and goals in ways that get the best out of their employees.?

They have high Emotional Intelligence (EI).

With AI, there will be a growing gap between people who use these tools with vague prompts,?

And employees who understand how to engineer an effective prompt.??

So, if you want to remain a successful boss in an AI-driven world,?

You'll need to get comfortable with the technology,?

And then use it to improve your understanding of human behavior.?

Focus on developing higher EI skills such as empathy and self-awareness.?

The effective bosses of the future will be in the driving seat with the ability to combine AI with EI, ?

The low-performing bosses are going to be left sitting on the couch,
