Happy Wednesday everyone, I hope you’ve had a lovely week so far!?
I am really enjoying July so far and looking forward to having some time off at the end of the month!! I have some posts ready to go but will definitely be turning social media notifications off????
I couldn’t start today without speaking about Threads, I wasn’t sure about joining yet another app but I really like it!! It feels relaxed and it’s been lovely to really see the personalities of everyone.?
Now today we are talking about AI, keeping up to date with new tools and technologies as well as finding balance.?
Let’s get started!! ???
Are you worried that AI will replace you??
?
With conversations around whether ChatGPT will replace workers, this billboard from IMPACT reminds construction workers of just how important they are!!?
?
I love that this campaign is centred around the fact that there are things a robot can’t do and it shows the value of that human touch.?
?
As a marketer I feel like AI can be valuable for brainstorming and generating ideas but it’s definitely important for content to have personality and that would be hard to replicate.?
?
What do you think??
?
?I’m excited to welcome today's guest, meet Samira Abdullahi . She is sharing her advice on getting started in social media! ???
?
“My name is Samira, and I am 34 years old. I am the mother of four Children, three boys and one girl, as well as two small Bunnies.?
My marketing career began at university as a graduate Business Management student. I knew nothing about marketing when I started the course, however I am now aware it's a fascinating subject. I begin my first marketing project as a small restaurant that has declined clients as part of a university case study to grow the number of their clients. Well, how could that be possible? I had no idea what to do or what this meant. Attending numerous marketing events and joining marketing groups on LinkedIn has helped me learn more about this field. This journey has taught me how marketing can be a strategic link within a company. I realised through extensive reading that marketing can open many doors, allowing you to think outside the box. I am honoured to have been a finalist in The Chartered Institute of Marketing competition at the University of Wolverhampton as a marketing enthusiast. This accomplishment not only demonstrates my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, but it also demonstrates my commitment to achieving excellence in the field. My first paid marketing job was with a small company, and my responsibility was email marketing. To be honest, small businesses are the most undesirable way to start your career, or perhaps my first job was. However, I gained knowledge by doing extensive research and this has demonstrated my ability to stand out. If I could give myself and you one piece of advice, it would be that there are always novel technologies and tools in marketing. Innovation in technology means that there are always new tools in marketing. Stay up to date by attending more events and joining social media marketing groups. They say that network is your net worth, and it is true that the more network you have, the better your ability to solve challenging issues will be.”?
?
I love this advice!! There are so many ways that you can learn about marketing and it’s so important to keep up with industry news and emerging technologies that could have a big impact on the industry!?

Today's advice is to reevaluate your work life balance!!??
?
Whether you work in an office or completely from home it’s important to set clear boundaries between work and personal life.?
?
Dedicate time to unwind, spend time with loved ones and engage in non-work-related activities to maintain balance.?
?
P.s be kind to yourself!! Priorities change and what balance looks like for you may differ from one month to another ???
?Today my post prompt is to speak about resources that have helped you in your journey.?
?
As marketers, we're always learning. There are new features, new platforms and so much more to keep up with!!?
I’d love to know which books, podcasts, or courses have had the greatest impact on your professional growth??
?
Perhaps it’s a particular creator or community that you feel has shaped you as a marketer!?
I look forward to reading these, please use #DiaryOfAYoungMarketer so I can come and show your post some support.?

?
Have a lovely rest of the day???
