Will AI replace humans?
When carriages were invented, horses were put to better use. When cars came along, humans moved further and accomplised even more. When phones came on the scene, communication exponentially increased.
Were humans replaced through all the changes in history that advanced the human race? They say history repeats itself. Through out history, humans have never become irrelevant as a race because of the advent of any new technology.
What is replaced is obsolete knowledge or experiences once held as grand but no more. AI and its wide application now in the open will definitely replace many things.
For business owners, the time to evolve is now. Relevance will only be with the right adoption of AI to benefit the business, and keep it profitable.
Employees will also have to gain knowledge on how to apply AI to their daily work or how it integrates into the evolved workplace and how to make the best of it.
From CoPilot from Microsoft, to Amazon Q recently launched by Amazon, and Duet AI from Google, the workplace is being transformed radically into a productive power house virtually crunching time, and increasing productivity like never before with stunning accuracy.
So, will AI replace humans? The answer goes both ways. For those willing to go along with the AI, 'No' - but for those unwilling to adopt or adapt - 'Yes'. Businesses must keep moving forward and change is an enviable part of that movement. For people willing to ride with this change, there is safety, and those unwilling will have to be swept away for advancement to occur.
Now is the time to rethink all business strategies, vis-a-vis current realities to ensure alignment with technology as is today and guarantee sustainability now and in the future. Goals may have to be altered or all together replaced in other to thrive and succeed and remain profitable.
Whatever needs to be done to stay ahead, needs to be done now and fast, for time as we know, “waits for no one”, especially in today’s world.
