AI to Replace Everything?

While everybody talks about AI these days, hold on for a second to check reality: your business still needs to track orders, manage inventory, and gather financials. Do you honestly think ChatGPT can ever do that?

What I'm seeing in the field is fascinating, though. Companies use advanced analytics to supercharge their ERP systems in ways we barely imagined. For some years now, predictive maintenance algorithms have recognized when machines will fail before they actually do. Supply chain optimization adapts logistics and deliveries in real-time. NLP bots (the "real" AI) serve customers by understanding their questions and providing answers.

AI needs data—lots of it. And guess what system holds all your business data? That's right - mostly, it's the ERP.

Think of it this way: ERP is your business's central nervous system, while AI is the brain and spinal cord that uses the data to make better decisions. This sounds like a viable opportunity for growth.

The companies leading the pack are those that understand ERP and AI aren't an either-or situation. It's about making converging (ERP) data and technologies.

Does AI threaten your job? I don't think so. Your daily work will get easier, and you have more time to concentrate on value-generating activities!
