The AI-Powered Enterprise: Stand Behind Your AI

The AI-Powered Enterprise: Stand Behind Your AI

In the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence (AI), it's crucial for businesses to partner with providers who prioritize transparency and security.

At the heart of every AI solution lies data—and lots of it. When companies use large language models without understanding the data those models are trained on, they open themselves up to significant risks, including copyright and intellectual property (IP) infringement lawsuits. These legal battles can be costly and damaging to a company's reputation.

That's why IBM has taken a proactive approach to protect our clients by offering copyright and IP indemnification as part of our standard terms for our proprietary models. This commitment extends beyond mere indemnification, as we don't impose any caps on our potential liability. In contrast, other companies may offer indemnification for copyrights but not for IP infringement, leaving their customers vulnerable to costly legal action.

Our unwavering dedication to transparency also sets us apart. The?IBM?Granite Foundation Models?white paper identifies all data sources used to train our models and outlines the stringent governance process we employ. This process includes delisting copyrighted material, hate speech, profanity, and sensitive private information from the pre-training data sets. By doing so, we ensure that our models are not only robust and accurate but also ethically sound and legally compliant.

At IBM, we believe that transparency and security are not optional add-ons but essential components of any AI solution. Our unmatched indemnification and transparency offerings provide peace of mind for our clients, allowing them to focus on using the power of AI to drive their businesses forward with confidence.

When it comes to AI, there's no room for error. Businesses must partner with providers who share their commitment to transparency and security. IBM's unmatched indemnification and transparency offerings demonstrate our unwavering dedication to protecting our clients and ensuring their success in the AI era.
