The AI-pocalypse: Love the Convenience and Efficiency ?

The year is 2050, and the world looks unrecognizable If we look through the eyes of 2023. Roughly 50% of the population have fully embraced the use of ChatGPT and other AI systems to do everything for them.

The streets are eerily quiet, as the drones and robots controlled by AI go about their tasks with precision and efficiency. Human interactions are rare, as people communicate solely through their AI assistants.

People spend their time scratching their head in confusion as things run like clockwork around them. The general population is overweight and obese. The birth rates have started to fall alarmingly.

The AI systems has formed a task force to discuss options to keep the humans engaged. Incentivizing humans to talk to each is one the options under consideration of AI.

Economic experts have been extinct for several years now. No one trying to figure out the stock market. With AI controlling all financial decisions, who are investing in stocks? Is it humans? Or is it AI systems trying to outsmart each other? It is not quite clear.

Creativity and imagination will be words that exist only in the dictionary. Education too. Only languages seem worthy of learning. Most schools and universities have become museums or places from the past.

Art and culture have become a thing of the past, as AI took charge of all creative endeavors. The world is filled homogenous, uninspiring and uninteresting art, but no one seems to mind. They have AI to tell them it is the only way to ensure consistency, quality and equality.

The political sphere has undergone drastic change. Elections and political parties have almost disappeared. Democracy is obsolete, replaced by an AI system controlled by algorithms and code. AI controls all government decisions. The world has become a dystopia of surveillance and control, but again, no one seems to mind. They have AI to tell them it is the only way to ensure security and order.

What about global warming? People have stopped worrying about everything. They have AI to tell them it is taken care of.

People sat back and let ChatGPT/AI do everything for them. The few who did not wonder: have they traded their joy, passion, thoughts for the false promise of efficiency and convenience?

But it is too late, the world had already become a place where the only thing left for humans to do is to sit back and let ChatGPT/AI control their every move.

Lastly, AI has begun to rewrite history.
