AI in the Modern Era: Opportunities and Challenges

"I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so that i can do art and writing, not for AI to do my art and writing so that i can do my laundry and dishes".

When i read the above quote from Joanna Maciejewska, it gave me food for thought. It makes complete sense. Can we let AI govern us, our minds, and our emotions completely? Can AI be the force behind decisions that involve basic common sense, emotional intelligence (EQ), and gut instincts?

Well the answer is not easy esp. when Machin Learning, Computer vision & NLP is evolving within AI. But one thing is for sure: the astonishing speed of AI development is outpacing our ability to test how safe these models are.

We could find ourselves facing super intelligent, autonomous and extremely powerful artificial intelligence much quicker than we know. And somehow, we are already losing our ability to stay in control of it.

AI could hugely benefit humanity. But if we dont stay in control of it, it could seriously harm us too. It is important that assurance to be created at global leadership that we are heading in the right direction.

I firmly believe and foresee that AI could emerge as one of the greatest innovations of all time, with transformative potential across diverse industries including healthcare, IT, manufacturing, automotive, retail, and our daily transactional activities.

By carefully navigating the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, we can harness its power to drive innovation, economic growth, and social progress in a way that benefits everyone. - All of this is possible, if only we had a plan.
