What's your story??
The one you tell clients, colleagues, and friends?
The one that defines your brand?
You tell stories everywhere:
Why do you do this?
Because storytelling is how you connect. It's innate—part of being human.
But it's more than that.
Storytelling isn't just conversation—it's strategy.
Every story you tell builds your brand, strengthens connections, and opens doors to new opportunities.
Why create a Story Bank of your own?
After creating thousands of social posts, I noticed something: my audience connected more deeply when I shared personal quirks and stories.
Sure, "how-to" content is great for showcasing expertise, but the posts that resonated were the ones where I shared a little more of myself.
Take my love for fried chicken. I mentioned it so often that clients started ordering fried chicken for me at lunch meetings! That's when I knew my stories were resonating.
The magic is in connecting the dots back to your business or thought leadership.
Storytelling comes naturally to me now.?

I have a Story Bank broken into three core pillars: business, expertise, and personal stories.
This shift happened when I built my Story Bank—a simple system to collect and organise ideas, so I always have a story ready to go, whether it's for:
? A LinkedIn post
? A sales pitch
? A big presentation
? Or even just a casual conversation
Now, it's your turn.?
How can we make storytelling effortless for you, like chatting with a friend over fried chicken?
Want to start building your own Story Bank?
I've created a free worksheet to help you:
? Identify the stories you already have (from personal, expertise, and business-types of stories).
? Find inspiration in your everyday life
? Connect them to an interesting insight or relatable bit.
P.S. This is just the beginning. Keep an eye out for my upcoming "Storyteller Starter Kit" workshop!
This is simple but brilliant. I can relate to the struggle of searching for good stories to tell when I have a brain fart. Thanks for putting this together, String!

3 个月Awesome tip! Over the years, I've collected stories and drafts in Notion, Google Keep, audiopen.ai, Google Docs, and even TXT files on my HDD and portable hard drive. I probably should consolidate sometime ??
