AI Meets Art
The Life We Live Is Not Life Itself

AI Meets Art

A neuroscientist, Ian Gibbins, used AI-generated faces to create an award-winning video art piece titled “The Life We Live Is Not Life Itself.”

The video uses AI-generated faces to explore the themes of memory, perception, and the nature of reality. Inspired by a poem, the video questions the essence of life and the reliability of our memories.

By placing AI faces in everyday settings and manipulating real footage, Gibbins creates a sense of paradox – the realistic appears fake while the impossible (people appearing twice) is real.

But what is artist's view on AI? Is there a future of art and AI?
