AI and Machine Learning for Qlik Developers - Part 1

As Socrates might have said one sunny day in Athens: "The basis of knowledge is to realize one's ignorance."
Last year I thought I knew very little about AI and Machine Learning.
So I decided to create one.
Today, I know that I know very little about AI and Machine Learning.
Data, Math, Python or Julia?
I did some reading and I understood that knowing Python or Julia is probably a good way to start, understanding data seems important and have some basic understanding of math is more or less vital.
By working with ERP and BI since 20+ years, I know a lot about data, and even though it’s decades since I was at some kind of school learning math, I have still some basic knowledge somewhere in the back of my head. But I don't know Python. Do I have to know Python?
The project
A great way to learn something new is to relate it to something you already know.
I know some programming languages since before, mostly various data scripting languages, so why not try to learn Python by first trying to create an AI in a language I already know?
So I decided to see if I can create an AI completely using only Qlik Script.
Is it possible?
Part 2 Understand more about the projects and the required skills in Qlik Script.
Part 3 : Easy example of linear regression in Qlik Script.
Part 4 : ML terminology and supervised multivariate linear regression in Qlik Script.
Case Study 1 : Predict the amount of a insurance claim.
Case Study 2 : Predict Stock Index Prices
Part 5 : Logistic Regression
Case study 3 : Predict survivals of Titanic
Part 6 : Introduction to Decision Trees and Random Forest Algorithm (not published yet)

5 年Way to go Robert Svebeck?. But I knew you would succeed of course :)
