By granting the ability to view all organizations, projects, and environments in Lagoon without modification rights, the Platform Viewer role allows for safer access and better oversight. This feature enables teams running their own Lagoon to downgrade some users from Platform Admin to Platform Viewer, reducing the risk of accidental changes while maintaining transparency across the platform. This streamlined user management approach enhances security controls and enforces the principle of least privilege, ensuring that only authorized users can make changes.?

Organization Admin Role

Improved Security with SSH Key Management

SSH Key Storage and Handling

Security is significantly enhanced with tracking of the “user last accessed” and “SSH key last used” timestamps, along with improvements in SSH key handling through a sidecar approach. The new APIs now support all standard key types, including FIDO/U2F keys, and allow for more flexible SSH key usage. This increases security through improved SSH key management, reducing the risk of unauthorized access and enhancing compliance with security best practices.
