But what about this? How did I get the layered background with a translucent MAX logo? Here you go...
Create the background
I did a quick search for Adobe Max background graphics and found this image:
I only wanted the colors and concepts for the background, so decided to use Adobe Firefly to quickly iterate a background. I used the image above as my Style Reference, and prompted for variations of the same vibe. This gave me 4 cool possibilities.
a bold and brilliant, wild and rambunctious vector illustration of brilliantly colored flowers, vines with buds in the foreground; ideal for backgrounds or textures
I downloaded all of 4 of these. [ LinkedIn will not allow me any more images to this post. ]
2 ? Develop the Layout
I started a new file in Adobe Express to be 1920x1080 (16:9). I imported one of the image above as a background layer, and I imported one of the MAX renders. You can see below the LAYERS that make up the document. The bottom layer is the render created in Firefly.
[ Apologies... no matter what I try - LinkedIn will not allow me to add any more pics to this post. I will try to share the image with layers marked as a comment. ]
The next layer up is one of the MAX renders of the inflated images that I expanded with Adobe Photoshop.
I set this layer a 100% - Multiply. I duplicated this layer in Express - and used the ‘Remove Background’ option. I had to use the ‘Erase’ - changing the BRUSH from ‘Quick Selection’ to ‘Circle Brush’ to do some fine-tuned cleaning up so ONLY the MAX was being presented (not any of the surrounding elements).
This I duplicated 2 more times (so 3 cut-out MAX logos). Layers were set to various settings as presented above (normal, multiply and screen) with differing Opacities - allowing the background to bleed through.
This - and more - is what kinds of this we will cover in depth in the 2-hr session September 21. I hope you can join me!
