AI Juggernaut Has Arrived

The long-awaited article that many of you were waiting for, finally got some free brain share to be able chalk it down. What an incredible time we all are living in!! I just thought how much the face of the earth did has changed in last 1 month itself. It is tremendous. Keeping apart the adjectives. My first thought was shall I give this article to be written by one of the classy co-pilots and why not? But then finally decided to burn miniscule calories by penning this down using my own fingers and thoughts of-course with the great co-pilot data support.

Approach of a Technologist

What happens when a tsunami comes or when a huge cyclone shadows a part of earth, well let's talk about a tsunami of knowledge. I am sure not a single one of us being spared from showered with the drops from this gigantic tsunami of AI advancements. Thus, me and you as a technologist have already been touched, soaked or drenched in this phenomenon. I have seen 2 patterns of thoughts there are a set of individuals who want to be less reactive and take it slow to adjust to the forces whereas there are some who have decided to ride on the waves of this tsunami to their next destination.

I feel both approaches are ok unless you have someone (likely your boss or firm) who are asking you to choose one. Many of my friends and collogues actually have chosen to ride the waves of disruption irrespective of the forces making them do the same. Where Should I Navigate to As a Firm?

This is the biggest question you can say a million-dollar question??? When you are in a cyclone a small degree of change in direction may drift your ship to a completely far away destination just like that every CXO needs to make a very wise and calculated decision on navigating the ship of this organization in this big digital disruption caused by the AI Juggernaut. I decided to take some cues from Lord Jaganath's Rath Yatra do read here and watch this amazing documentary if you are interested in knowing about this great tradition from the ancient India.

• Preparing for the Nabkalebara (aka hyper-metamorphosis) - Every 12-19 years lord Jagannatha's idols are changed. The last time when your organization was disrupted was when you experienced the internet revolution, this is much significant than that so shall be the preparation.
• Choosing the right craftsmen and wood for the chariot and the deity (aka Skilled workers and platforms selection) - There are very selected and artisan craftsmen and platform and tools. They will navigate us in right direction.
• Building the Core Deity - This is the deity the image has to be most sacred matching to spec - aka the Cognitive Digital Brain Read Accenture's vision for 2025 for more on this.
• Preparing for the Deity welcome and installation - aka This is the managing the rapid (internal) change around going across your organization & it is not the same change management initiative.
• Finally Prepare for the great meal for the deity - Serving the Customers with your AI Led Service.

Each of the above steps can be a one article in itself - though what is getting tested is the nerves of your organization, your talent pool and your value system and culture. The great teams have ridden the waves of disruptions better than the regular ones that is where big difference will come.

How Can We Keep up with The Pace of Continuous Changes?

Just to fathom what I am talking about; this is going to be the most complex question that you will have. Below is the co-pilot generated content on pace of external changes in the AI industry well almost every large organization will be impacted by the same. During times of Internet revolution, the pace was much less but now it is 100X faster if not less.

I will leave you to deliberate further on how would you handle the rapid pace of changes? As I feel this is not a recipe but the samurai or avenger's martial art.
