AI Intelligence Marketing Strategies: Part 2
10 Cons Using AI for Marketing Your Business
I’m back to deliver the sequel of this special artificial intelligence Terminator series on using AI to market your business. We covered the 10 pros of using AI in Part 1 of this series, so we balanced it out by covering the 10 cons of using A.I. for marketing strategies in this blog.
The fun aspect of this process is how these answers were created by the mastermind Skynet’s brain itself. A.K.A. ChatGPT. For us fellow humans, it’s similar to being asked during a job interview “What are some of your weaknesses?”
Lucky for us we can take Kyle Reese’s words to heart, “Cyborgs don’t feel pain.”
I asked a similar question and cranked up the heat with “What are 10 Cons for using artificial intelligence in marketing strategies?” Do you think it was honest, or did ChatGPT give us a cliché interviewee response? Read and see.
ChatGPT Cons – 10 Reasons
1?? Complex Implementation:
Integrating AI requires specialized skills and resources, which can be expensive and time-consuming.
?
2?? Data Privacy Concerns:
Gathering and processing customer data for personalization can raise privacy issues.
?
3?? Initial Investment:
Developing and deploying artificial intelligence solutions may have a high upfront cost.
?
4?? Loss of Human Touch:
Over-reliance on AI leads to impersonal customer interactions.
?
5?? Algorithm Bias:
Artificial intelligence systems inherit biases present in training data, leading to unfair targeting or decisions.
?
6?? Dependency on Technology:
Technical glitches or system failures could disrupt marketing efforts.

7?? Lack of Contextual Understanding:
AI struggles to understand nuanced human emotions and cultural contexts.
?
8?? Constant Learning Curve:
AI technologies evolve rapidly, requiring continuous education to keep up.
?
9?? Resistance to Change:
Staff and customers might resist or feel overwhelmed by the introduction of artificial intelligence.
?
?? Ethical Dilemmas:
AI usage leads to dilemmas related to data usage, transparency, and accountability.
?
The interesting part is when I asked about the cons, the answers focused on the dilemma of human experience and human learning curves. Ironically, this could be a little too much of a Skynet response for skeptics.

The Honest Response from ChatGPT
What we do see in the honest response is #4 – the loss of human touch, and #5 – algorithm bias. The ability to adjust through human experience and input the human perspective in actionable steps (#4) is where magic can happen in conceptualizing creative projects from start to finish.
Getting inaccurate data from technological errors and incorrect answers from incorrect sources, scraped by AI (#5) is what we already see as a common error out of the list above. Political bias, theoretical opinions, and geographical indifferences would be a few examples that could skew the robotic response.
AI Generators update often, so don’t let the cons scare you away. There are a lot of reasons to use artificial intelligence too. The main takeaway is we still need people to know how to direct AI. We still need people who know how to implement AI.
The Terminator came to kill Sarah Connor, the mother of the resistance leader John Connor, in the original movie. By the sequel, John Connor was protected by the same machine.
You may ask, what’s next? What a great question! In PART 3 of this series, you will learn not what you can do with artificial intelligence, but what artificial intellegence can do for you.
