"Great power comes with great responsibility"

People, one of the biggest irony of 21st century is that the entity that possess great power does not assume it's responsibility. In excuse what they say is "If I don't someone else will"

I will not be explaining the definition of AI, there are millions of definition available out there. I am here to discuss just 5 of its capabilities/changes, it would be bringing in life of every single people including you.

1. Emergence of inorganic life form

When we think about AI, the things that come to our mind are Children writing essays from AI chatbots, people losing jobs or AI robots shooting people as seen in Terminator or Robot movie.

Well, these are the problems, but they are just the tip of the iceberg!!

AI is fundamentally different from all other technologies human ever invented. Our ecological system consists of organic lives (human, animal, birds, insects etc). However, first time in 4 billion years of human history we are witnessing inorganic life forms (Humanoid Robots).

2. Unprecedented Intelligence

The IQ level of Chat GPT, 10 months ago was 155, just a little less than IQ level of Einstein (160), the smartest man ever lived on the Earth. Now GPT 4 is 10x smarter than earlier version. And the worst part, it is just the beginning.

Let's say Einstein is explaining a theory of physics to an average human with average intelligence. Would he be able to understand? Not at all, Because of difference in their IQ level. The same case might evolve between us and AI as these tools might become thousand time smarter than us in a couple of decades. We might not even understand what's the meaning of their prompt.

First time in history we have created something so powerful that possess more intelligence than even those who made it people like Sam Altman, Jeffrey Hinton (Godfather of AI) etc.

3. Existential crisis - worse than Climate Change

In the last couple of decades, radio, T.V., social media etc. They helped us to disseminate the videos, sound, text or photos. And Contents over These platforms have always been created by human or a bunch of human. However, AI is creating new content altogether with least intervention of human and it's coming up with idea that no one has ever thought of.

The problem arises just here only. Till now whatever texts we have whether religious, cultural, law etc. All of them were drafted by human. But first time in history they might be drafted by a non-human intelligence who know about us more than us and they also know how to exploit humans' vulnerabilities. Therefore, it may swallow up our entire culture and may come with some new culture and customs that we will all believe to be true.

If this looks far-fetched to you. Have a glance over social media. In spite of the fact that US having most advanced IT technology on the Earth, Americans can no longer agree on who won the last presidential election whether it was Donald Trump or Joe Biden? Whether climate change is real or not?

This social distrust is the magic of very very primitive AI tools in their social media handles that chooses which video or post will reach to their eyes and ears, ultimately polarizes every single people.

Look what the irony is, even this article is servant of AI recommendation tool.

4. Language Dominance

People have you ever thought why only human animal were able to dominate this Earth? Why not any other animal from forest?

One of the main reason behind this is that we were able to pass out our learnings from one generation to another generation through our documented research, books, scripts etc. By learning these texts, our next generation never had to start from the scratch.

However, this is not the case with other animals. They always have to learn how to prey & how to defend themselves. They never had a brainy lion/wolf who documented how to kill elephant for their fellow beings.

Now, you must have understood the importance of language or text. So now, in context of AI!

Sad part is that AI has already hacked humans operating system, LANGUAGE. Since the evolution of human being, language has been the source of cooperation among people around the World.

Since leader like MLK Junior, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose etc. they were able to mobilize crores of people just because of their excellent story telling skill.

It is just because of language I am writing this post over this platform, you all could understand it, you could interpret that, what it means? At the same time, it will have influence over you not just intellectually but also emotionally.

Today, even the gold medalist of chess cannot think of beating computer in chess. What if the same happens in laws, religion, politics etc. And this is very very possible because of AI tools' language dominance.

5. Oppenheimer Moment

Almost after 80 years of atomic bombs' invention. We are again at a big pivotal moment of history. Because this advancement in AI would have far more impact than nuclear energy invention.

You believe it or not, Artificial Intelligence is an arms race.

surprisingly, this technology is fundamentally different from nuclear energy, because nukes cannot create more nukes, however AI can create more powerful AIs.

In conclusion-

What we are potentially looking at is, the end of human history, not the end of history, but the human dominated part of it. Because now human is second smartest being on the Earth after AI.

What we assumed that AI robots might destroy us physically like nuclear bombs, was incorrect. Because firstly it would be destroying us mentally, socially and psychologically. If we could luckily swim this wave, then might be facing terror of machine.

Now the biggest question arises what's the solution?

"REGULATION"

Government must regulate it before it starts regulating us.
