AI: Grab the Bull by the Horns or Get Left Behind!

Helping Teams and Organizations to Create Value ? TEDx Speaker
I am starting to discover how I can use AI in my work. I don't want to be afraid of AI and ignore it. AI is too big to ignore it.?
We are slowly getting past the first hype. When ChatGPT went public, almost every website, app, tool, and electronic toothbrush (yes, really!) could use AI within a few months. I am still not sure if all those AI integrations added real value. It could be a nice example of why agility is essential.
I created this presentation a few months ago.
I used Gemini to create the content for the slides. Next, I?asked Gemini to propose illustrations and?used Google Sheets to make the images proposed by Gemini. I?asked Gemini again to make a voice-over transcript, and I used HeyGen to generate a person and a voice.?What did I?do? Something very important: I corrected many of the faulty slides proposed by Gemini ??
Another example of AI is my Dot Voting Calculator.?I don't expect to use this calculator every time you are going to do a dot vote (Although I also don't hope you will not always give people three votes ??). I?have programming experience and can read HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. However,?I never made a WordPress plugin. Using AI, I?was able to create the dot voting calculator. A few times during this process, I told Gemini that something that it proposed did not work. Where the answer in those cases was something like: "Of course not, I know. You should try this...." ?? Er, maybe propose this directly?
How are you using AI? Have you already tried it? Are you afraid, or have you already completely integrated AI into your daily work??One thing that will not work is ignoring it and assuming it will just go away.
Article of the week:?Learning in the Thick of It
A few months ago, I stumbled upon this?HBR article. It is already old but still very interesting.?I could have used AI to generate a summary and share it in this email. Easy content, isn't it?
Nope, you read it yourself; I only asked Gemini why it is important for a professional to read this article. This was the answer: "Professionals can benefit from reading "Learning in the Thick of It" by learning how to conduct after-action reviews (AARs). AARs can help professionals improve their performance by helping them learn from past experiences."?
Er, boring Gemini.
Just read this article; it is inspiring and can help you improve your team and organization! Trust me.
I am unsure if using AI was a good approach to motivate you to read the article. I believe AI is very helpful and can help us, but we still need our knowledge and experience. Don't trust it blindly, please.
Keep safe, and have a great day!
