Is #AI going to kill my business or empower it?

I bet most of you have struggled with the answer to this question. I am not surprised, after all, many of the answers do rely on how AI evolves, right?

AI is pretty much dictating the beat of the drum these days. Since the appearance of #ChatGPT everyone can't help but wonder, how is this going to affect the future of my business and we all have good reasons to be worried.

The fact of the matter is that it will probably be both. There will be aspects in which your current business model will have to adapt rather quickly to keep its edge while other aspects of the business will benefit from the power of AI as a complement bringing efficiencies where your business struggles today. According to OpenAI : 19% of workers could be affected in at least 50% of their job tasks by the introduction of AI.

Most, if not all of the issues and technical concerns around AI will be eventually resolved rather sooner than expected. The bigger issue is on its regulation and government involvement, the opportunities and responsibilities that come with it. It is likely expected in my opinion that some industries will be more impacted by the regulations than others.

Another factor where AI will have a larger impact on different industries and areas of the economy. An example is in the health sector where we see lots of manual entry and/or dealing with paperwork and noncritical tasks vs. other types of manual work like plumbing, loan movers, and specific handcrafts artisan labor which will increase its value.

Time is of the essence. #AI presence in the business world is having a say in the way we interact as consumers, having a significant shift in our lives and the way we see the world. It’s been clear that ChatGPT has come to stay and is just the beginning. Its progress and evolution has accelerated making the analysis of its impact more difficult than ever.

What is certain though is that the sooner you do the math, the better off you will be.
