AI, GEOINT, Analytic Integrity and Avoiding Bias

I am writing to you today to extend a personal invitation for

Defense One’s upcoming webcast, AI and Ethics: Integrity and Geospatial Analytics on Tuesday, June 1 at 2:00PM EDT.

Our panel of AI and geospatial intelligence experts will dive deep into our most pressing questions on geospatial data, maps, and analytics. Find out whether algorithms always portray geospatial data correctly, how developers keep bias out of maps, how to identify systematic blindspots in the geospatial analytics workflow, and what analysts can do to mitigate issues and ensure analytic integrity.

During the event, I’ll be joined by an impressive panel of subject matter experts, including:

  • Dr. Barry Zulauf, IC Analytic Ombudsman, Office of the Director of National Intelligence
  • Dr. Steven Hall, Co-Chair of the Working Group for Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Augmentation, National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG)
  • Ronda Schrenk, Chief Executive Officer, United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation
  • Dr. Christopher K. Tucker, Chairman, American Geographical Society
  • Osonde Osoba, Senior Information Scientist, RAND Corporation
  • Edie Punt, Cartography Product Engineer and Writer, ArcGIS Pro Mapping Team, Esri

Visit the webcast site to learn more about the event.

Register now to save your virtual seat on June 1 at 2:00PM EDT.

I hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Patrick Tucker
