Is AI Generative, a Differentiator, or Sourcery?

As with AI itself, the answer is in the gray.
There’s a growing argument across Industries debating whether or not generative AI is actually generative.? A growing contingent believes that these deep neural networks and machine-learned behaviors are just regurgitation of human information. ?
I would suggest an analogy.
Every note of music has already been created.? However, composers create new and beautiful outcomes with those notes every day. ?The outcomes are the music and are generative. Generating revenue or experiences with this intelligence takes a product mindset. ?AI will not be the differentiator and adoption is more table-stakes today than difference maker. However, when you combine the power of your team's human intelligence with the power of artificial intelligence and the right approach, magic can happen.
Consider the process of adopting artificial intelligence. We still begin by defining our problems, harvesting and aligning our data, gaining consensus while defining a viable product, creating the right tests to prove its value, measuring that success, and improving/extending its use.
Once your intelligence can do something there’s a point at which we're going to trust it to test, then infer on our target data, use it to make human-led business decisions based on that inference, and eventually trust our business intelligence product enough to allow it to make decisions. ?Then what?
By taking a product approach with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Gen-AI, and Deep Learning, all on our palette, we can demystify these heavy terms and help create an Intelligent Intelligence Strategy based on outcomes, experiences, and proven value.?

4 个月A thought-provoking viewpoint on AI! I value the music comparison; it serves as a compelling reminder that generative AI, similarly to human creativity, constructs fresh and useful outputs from a foundation of pre-existing 'notes.' It mostly involves directing AI to augment, enhance, and supplement human intelligence instead of supplanting it. The concept of AI as an instrument to influence product-oriented results is highly compelling. By synchronizing AI's capabilities with a methodical process encompassing data alignment and iterative testing and enhancement, we are cultivating trust in AI while enabling it to deliver tangible, quantifiable value. The convergence of human and artificial intelligence, coupled with a strategic approach, presents boundless opportunities for innovation. Thank you for sharing, Adam!?
