The most important innovation in AI right now is adapting current models to the existing world.
Even without further progress, simply applying the current level of AI will change everything in the very near future.
A great illustration of this simple thought?—?a standard Claude connected to a standard Amazon robot in a few hours learnt to control it completely from scratch.
From my perspective, this is a game changer.
A good analogy is that the strongest chess program today, AlphaZero, purely through self-learning, with no pre-established chess knowledge, surpassed the best computer players in the world, including the Stockfish app, in a matter of hours.
This means that the existing AI, which is an order of magnitude more powerful, will easily master any action in the real world if given enough time (a few hours) and access to control.
It has already been given access to control hundreds of thousands of computers. Now they’re going to open up access to industrial robots.
Let’s see what this network will be capable of in a year. ?
