AI in 2024

As the CEO of Modulus and a founding board member of the American Society for Artificial Intelligence, I'd like to share some updates and insights that I'm excited about. While we've been working with AI since 1997, last year was nothing short of amazing. Now we're in 2024, a year that will be a landmark in AI history.

This year at Modulus, with the addition of newly awarded AI patents, we're focusing intensely on our AI consultancy services, especially around Large Language Models (LLMs). The AI world is witnessing seismic shifts, and we want to remain at the forefront of these changes. Our work with open-source models, especially on platforms like HuggingFace, which hosts over 300,000 models, is not just about keeping up with trends; it's about setting them. AI can be dangerous if implemented incorrectly. It's not about using the latest models or implementing the ChatGPT API into your project (that's a dangerous trap); it's about understanding the benefits and limitations, and weaving AI into the fabric of your business to create real value.
