An international research team has developed an AI language model capable of understanding and translating 204 languages. Commissioned by Meta, this model particularly focuses on less commonly known languages.

Meta's new model aims to change this by providing universal access to communication, regardless of the language spoken. Wikipedia already uses the NLLB (No Language Left Behind) model for translating and editing articles in less common languages.
