Generative AI is quickly becoming a huge part of everyone's day to day life.
For this post I asked ChatGPT what it thought about generative AI in the world of digital marketing & then proceeded to savagely critique it, as

My Experience with ChatGPT
I will admit, I am not new to ChatGPT :) I use it often for idea generation and also for my internship drafting up emails, various templates, social media captions, beer names, tap list sign ideas, etc. and it has been pretty helpful in that way!
Having ChatGPT write an entire blog post was interesting though and not something I have done in the past. It took it about 6 seconds to craft up that masterpiece above.
ChatGPT Lacks Personality (duh its a robot)
ChatGPT's work had little to no personality. It seems that any responses it generates are pretty shallow and lacking in depth and insight. ChatGPT also tends to overuse big words that, in my opinion, the majority of people do not use in their every day lives.

Overall, it is great at giving very general, surface level information about a topic. It gave fine examples of how AI is beneficial in digital marketing but it did not give any downsides which I thought was interesting.
Some downsides I have noticed while using it in the past is:
- Information is not always accurate
- Information is often outdated
- If you ask it the same question multiple times, often the answer will be slightly different each time
The Future of AI
- Immersive content is one trend predicted to go entirely mainstream in the coming years. Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies are becoming more accessible, allowing truly immersive experiences. This is proven by things like the Apple Vision Pro.
- AI can help marketers automate repetitive tasks such as keyword research, content creation, content distribution, email marketing, social media management, etc. This can save a lot of time and money overall.
- AI will likely play a very significant role in enabling hyper-personalization. With AI, marketers can analyze a customer's behavior, preferences, and past interactions with a brand to create personalized content and experiences. AI algorithms can also help marketers predict a customer's next move and recommend products or services accordingly.
