AI, Cyber, and Climate: Governance Insights from the AICD Annual Event

I'm glad I made the time to attend the AICD annual event at the Melbourne Town Hall this week. An impressive turnout of 1,000 members joined in person and another 1,000 online. Christine Holman delivered an eloquent and sensible message on the topics of AI, Cyber and Climate Governance.

Bruce Cowley also did a great job speaking on the themes of culture, CEO's succession planning, NFP governance and the need for building financial resilience.

Finally George Savvides, former MD at Medibank and chairman at SBS Australia, joined the speakers on a panel discussion moderated by Sonia Petering.

Highlights?from the panel discussion:

? The importance of allocating appropriate budget to leadership development. Behavioural capability won't happen automatically!

? Aspects of the board's role: support management team success and enable vision realisation
